There is basically no great conflict left in Westeros and I am curious what the fuck will happen next. This is why Song of Ice and Fire is the greatest fantasy story to ever be written. If Tolkien was alive today even he would say so :D

I dont understand all this sadness and rooting for house stark. Ultimately they are just another family fighting for power. Deaths like these makes great, unprdictable story.

I just love how nonchalantly Walder Frey says "I'll find another" when Cat put the knife against his wife's throat. Could you even feel more powerless in Cat's position?

The war they started was first to get Ned back and later to avenge Ned.

Holy fuck those fucking sounds when that guy stabbed Talisa
fuck
edit: anyway now I know why everyone always said GRRM loves to kill characters so much. Up to this point I didn't think it was THAT bad and now...lol nope.

Im pretty sure that decent part of continent and title King in the North (independendent form throne) is some kind of power, what they had before series began and now till last EP (not sure what will happen now).

Deaths like these makes great, unprdictable story. They never fought for power. In matter of fact, Ned never wanted to be the hand of the king. And Robb had no choice but go to war to save his father and sisters in King's Landing. I like the Starks because they are probably the most honorable and honest house in Westeros. Unfortunately honesty in a world like Westeros doesn't really work out for you. Look at Robert, Ned and now Robb. Hopefully Arya and Jon don't follow the same path as their family did and learn a couple of things from what happened to Robb. No comment about Sansa because the poor girl is just dumb imo...

But that was not their goal as a family. That shit only happened once Ned and Robert were dead and they didn't recognize a bastard as their new King. What is left but to name yourself Kings like they were before Targaryans arrived.

Stannis has Melissandre which is totally unpredictable and has powers beyond anything the Lannisters have. She burns the three leeches and inmediatly one of the usurpers has died, will the other two follow?, and if they do, is it because her god is controling all of it or she simply had the visions and wants to make Stannis thinks she has more power than she actually has?, I mean the Frey's betrayal must have been planned for a long time and she just recently burned the leeches.
Littlefinger also went with Cait's crazy sister and I doubt he's just gonna sit and relax. He thrives in chaos so I assume he will find ways to create even more of it over there.
And with what the master tactician Cercei told Margery I'm pretty sure the Tyrells are rather concerned about the Lannister's intentions. So there maybe some infighting going on there. And of course we have psycho retard Jeoffrey whom I presume is gonna end up pissing a lot of powerful people just being the way he is.
Also, what's going on with the Ironborns?, they basically declared war on everyone and somehow I doubt they are just gonna bend the knee to Tywin even if it's the more logical thing to do. Because they aren't, well, logical.
Westeros is still pretty much in conflict, is just that the Starks have been destroyed as relevant players.

I'm baffled. I don't know what to think and who to root for after this episode. I mean, it is still a great show, but wow....
Will that guy who got married also get killed?
Also. I would like to see that ninja who killed 3 people for Arya again. And the scene where everyone got killed felt sub par effects wise, especially where she cut her throat.

Were we supposed to assume what happened to Edmure? To his uncle? My best guess is that they should have thought out the thing with Edmure, whereas his uncle is hinted to at least have a chance to escape, since he went out just before it happened. Right?

Edmure is Lord of Riverrun and technically still Walder Frey's liege lord. There are still a lot of lords and castles in the Riverlands loyal to the Tullys, so keeping him hostage would probably go a long way towards getting them to bend the knee. Once he is dead, they have no reason to acquiesce.
Also, now that he has a Frey wife, their child will be a Tully and heir to Riverrun. If there was any doubt about Frey's upjumped power after this last episode, having the heir to Riverrun in his pocket will probably seal the deal. I wouldn't worry about Edmure's safety until he has a son by Roslin, then he might be in trouble.

I feel like Edmure is dead, his character only really existed to give us the illusion of hope. The show definitely made a point of making it ambiguous with both him and Blackfish though, so who knows.
I guess at this point I'm rooting for the Night's Watch to be doing actually important things, and for Tyrion + Varis to do some sick scheming. I don't really like Dany too much, personally.

what makes you think that...
ive never understood this whole thing of analysing stories/series. his character is there so his (or the) story can be told imo.

Actually the scenes with Edmure and ugly Frey daughters were hilarious. And then the looks he had when his wife actually turned out to be beautiful lol. It was so funny. And then he looked at Cat like he is a boy that was just given a toy he most wanted for birthday :D

I just think that because he appeared in the story at basically just the right time to get married off. That was his whole role in the show, the dumb relative who Robb could marry to a Frey girl to get an army. That obviously isn't gonna happen anymore. SO, either he gets killed offscreen, OR i guess he suddenly becomes really important somehow as he tries to avenge Robb or something. The first option just seems more likely to me.

Oh my... these reactions are so good ^_^
They executed that scene perfectly, the way Bolton looked, the way Catelyn slowly got suspicious and finally the way she looked when Robb got killed.

I'm sitting here after this episode crying. Just no. Just no, WHY?!?!?!
My only pleasure is the growing influence of The Khalessi. She seems to be the only one who actually had somewhat honorable intentions, With the freeing of slaves and all that jazz.
