“I am told by the people that participated in it that it is awful. So I’m, like the fans, I’m looking forward to it with anticipation and a certain amount of dread. And also I’m living in terror of the reaction. When that book came out, I got some amazing letters from people telling how they threw the book into the fireplace and they would never read me again and they hated me. But then they went out the next week and bought another copy of the book, and they love me now. We may get some similar reactions. I don’t recommend anyone throw their television set into the fireplace. It could be very dangerous.”
Holy shit, this episode was so raw and I'm loving it.
Sucks that Robb died, I liked him a lot in the beginning. But yeah it would have been bad if he got away from that one. He already fucked up one revenge plot and didn't deserve another one.
But I still have Jon, Arya and Bran to cheer for so it's all good for now. I really like their stories.

Maybe Bolton's betrayal was a bit predictable but I did not expect Walder Frey to do something like this. I thought Catelyn is going to outlive everyone in the Stark family. A lot of you uses the term "red wedding". Was it ever mentioned in the episode? I'm pretty sure it wasn't, just like "queen of thorns". I understand it was called like that in the books but that would mean more than half of people in this thread have read them.

Move along! ^^
Oh, sweet summer child. Seems like you're stuck on stage 1: Denial. But believe me, Anger, Bargaining, Depression and finally Acceptance will follow given enough time.
I haven't red the books but as soon as the Rains of Castamere was played I had a huge smile of anticipation on my face. After cooling down a bit from the amazement, I am however confused to how this is not even half way through the story since Dany is on the other side of the fucking WORLD, Stannis without an army and everyone else being on the side of the Lannisters who basically have won the war for the Iron Throne. There is basically no great conflict left in Westeros and I am curious what the fuck will happen next.

"Red Wedding" was the name of the ninth episode afaik until it was changed about 3-4 weeks before it aired. You are most likely very correct though, I believe more than half the users who post in this thread have read the book.

There was a poll about this a bunch of pages back, and it was more like 2/3's of the people posting here that had read it. Even some people who were posting "predictions" were honest in the poll and said they'd already read the book(s).

well, winter is coming, or so they used to say
I once heard a guy say something about winter, but I couldn't really hear him over the sound of a lion roaring.
