The reason you give for why it's unrealistic is really just a different form of the cheating, lying, backstabbing, etc that already goes on regardless of magic/dragons.
Too many people went into Game of Thrones ignoring the "Fantasy" label, now that we see more of the fantasy setting unfold, they realise its not an adaptation of the napoleonic campaign

Fuck that, I'll take dragons and magic over swords n bucket pails any day. They do a good job integrating magic with swords n shields.

Here, remember that very first scene in episode 1 with the zombie blue eyed child? No magic, aye...

Well, I read the books so I knew what was coming, that doesn't mean I have to like it though haha. Even when I was reading it, I really disliked the role that Melsiandre played.

Meh. I dont mind magic and dragons in certain settings. I don't mind it when all sides have access to it, or it is kind of an expectation. What I don't like, is when certain sides have it and others don't. When the sides that have access to it can use it to lulz there way to victory. How useful will the best swordsmen in the realm be when Dany's dragons have fully matured? Not very, I'd imagine.

Tywin is Cersei's, Tyrion's and Jaime's father.
|
If I recall, it is Gendry who is the Smith's "kid".

Well, he was the smith's apprentice and Robert Baratheon's bastard. I don't think Gendry knows he was Robert's son, but he doesn't believe the smith was his father either.

Can someone explain how the torture works under the shadow of Harrenhal?
|
Did Stanis order to kill her? Or i missed something? Why did they go where into that cavern?

Well, the rat is will try to run away from the heat of the metal pot. So it'll claw its way through the flesh of the person attached to the metal pot to escape the heat.

Like, what they were doing in those specific scenes? They put the rat in the bucket and put the bucket up to the victim's belly. Then, when they heat the other end of the bucket, the rat seeks to escape by digging out the other end away from the heat, into the victim's belly. At least, I think that's how it works.

The magic is to counter other odds. Dany has nothing but her dragons, yet they give her enormous political, economic, and strategic power. Stannis has no army, but he has magic on his side. I haven't read the books, but it seems like magic in this series isn't your typical magic-for-the-sake-of-magic, but is integrated into the world in (as we've seen today) rather normal ways.

I think that was the first *almost* graphic birth on tv. Melissandre certainly popped out that child quickly o.O

Wow I think I know what's going to happen next episode. It's all happening so fast hnnnng

So then they need to do a timing attack before Daenarys gets mature dragon tech.
I'm really enjoying the story. Looking at what has happened so far, we're seeing a fine demonstration of Murphy's law at work and I hope it keeps going!

magic/dragons is ok. without them it'd be hard for some factions to have a belieavable threat in the books, not everyone can have the king slayer or the largest army or the best navy.

To get her into position so that her shadow spawn can infiltrate into the enemy territory.
Don't get the complaints about magic in this show, despite being present in the series it's still pretty realistic. Just adds another dimension to the strategies the characters employ. No crystal ball, randomly blow shit up from miles away BS.

The Thirteen looked awesome btw, just thought they deserved a mention
