Harrenhal was probably my favorite scene (not the most entertaining, I'm not a sick fuck like Joffrey) in the episode. Lord Tywin to the rescue!

A whole lot of WTF in that episode, though, like whatever happened at the end... Also found it odd that Danaerys mispronounced Qarth. She said it like it would be spelled Quarth, but it's not like she looked it up on a map... Why would she mistake the Q sound? I don't know, just seemed odd. The city really did look beautiful, though, it way surpassed what I had imagined. The point of Dany scene was to show us how they treat her like a child and she will have none of it as her Ego soared to the heavens with what happened to her. People that waste their and others time with things like spelling mistakes do that because they feel superior to that other person and want to show it.

I really enjoyed this episode. Tyrion is somehow unbeatable, he outmaneuvers everyone, he's always one step ahead it's really great seeing that. Seeing him put Joffery back into his place is SO satisfying. I did kind of predict that Joffery would find a way to be nasty about Tyrion giving him whores. I really, really liked the scene of Daenerys being a bad ass to the 13 of Qarth. I admired that she refused to just show the dragons even if it meant dying. Then I admired her even more when she threatened them. I was like, holy shit, she's really changed if you compare her to the first time you see her in the first season, where she was just a pretty girl being bargained for an army. I'm rooting for her and her dragons. I'm really confused about what the red woman gave birth to. The fuck is that? Seriously? More importantly, what does it do? Don't answer these questions if the the answers are in the books. But I'm just saying, I don't get that scene. On the other hand I'm not bothered that it's supernatural, there are already other supernatural things in the show like White Walkers and dragons. I want to fuck the show and read the books so hard but I know that doing that may very well ruin the show for me.

Yeah, I didn't know what was going on with the red woman either so I went to look it up. I had a WTF face on during that entire scene.

Plus as was shown during the fight where he freed Tyrion he is only wearing light armor, a knight in plate isnt even going to get to hit him.

I want to fuck the show and read the books so hard but I know that doing that may very well ruin the show for me. Next episode should answer the question about the shade, although the dialogue between Seaworth and Melissandre hints at what the goal of the thing is. By all means, read the books. Throughout the last season and the episodes of this one, I've always known what was going to happen, but even when you know how it's supposed to happen, you don't quite understand how the show itself is going to present the scene, and how that is going to be different than you pictured it. Hell, one of the coolest parts of this show is comparing my vision of the book with a different one, with all the subtle changes in character that you get from seeing a different interpretation. I would say that without reading the books, you would miss a lot of stuff about them, but the production is extremely apt at catching all of the little details, and dialogue treasures, that you can really do without the books themselves.

Hopefully we get to see atleast 1 big battle this season without the show just skipping to the aftermath once one side wins. Just a glimpse since fighting in the battle itself doesn't really seem to be relevant. I just really want to see Greywind tear some more throats out .Everything else in this episode definitely makes up for that though. The producers said they had to go back and beg HBO for more money to shoot a big battle scene this season, so I think we will get at least one full scale battle. As far as that episode goes as someone who read the books that was my favorite episode. The first three episodes really seemed to be a lot of fluff and background info. This episode set things back in motion. Harrenhall and Qarth both looked amazing for the short glimpses we got of them. This is the first episode of the the season that really made me want the next episode to come out tomorrow.
