Making it so unrealistic now.
To be fair we know magic exists in this world - recall the first ten minutes of the first episode of season 1.

Dl'ng the ep right now, will post with thoughts after I see it. It's just kind of annoying they didn't really establish that. The guy some distance up said it was established by the blue eyed zombie girl in ep 1, but I'm sure to most people like me that seemed more like a sort of credible but slightly far fetched monstrous type of creature. Monsters like dragons and large wolves are NOT magical really, they are completely believable to 'transplant' into our world. Even zombies can be 'transplanted' into our world without changing much. But being able to give birth to a shadow fiend, that's sort of a whole nother level. Would have been nice if they somehow had like a mage somewhere in the show early casting some sort of visible spell so we could see, you know, 'oh ok there's magic in this show, got it'. Most of the references towards magic have been like stylistically vague, I got the impression it was supposed to be like the way people in the olden days would view tricks. That would completely ruin the feel of the series. Most people in westeros doesn't believe in magic, and you are hearing their story. Having the woman give birth to a shadow fiend demon thingie is just as much "wtf?!" moment for Davos as it is for the viewers. This isn't a world where mages are placed on every corner to throw fireballs at each other. But it is a world where mystical things can happen.
Ah okay, well I guess it did the job of taking me aback. Well I'll still keep watching, at least the 'sex scene' was more useful for the plot than usual this time.

dayum that last scene was creepy as hell

I wonder what kind of help that darkness shadow thingy will give to Stannis. If he faces with grown dragons who would win?

Well I got feeling that Season 1 and early season 2 that people living in seven kingdoms don't really believe magic anymore and they are doubting dragons ever existing too (at least some do, according to tv series). Now that they bring magic back they go away from season 1 which was all about claim of throne. Now that there are five kings its harder to see whats their point actually. One king wants something but another completely different thing.
I just hope this series ends (not just tv series) that Targaryen claims throne back and we get "happy ending". As it seems its going that path anyways (dragons anyone?).

While magic is indeed something old and forgotten and probably not even believed, people know dragons are infact very real.
Im not entiretly sure its shown in the show or if it was in the book but during season 1 Arya finds the skulls of the old dragons in the cellars of Kingslanding.

Magic (and dragons) being gone and comming back is kinda a theme of the series.

CGI costs money bro.
But seriously, she doesn't want to enter a city in a low position.

How does that change her position? The only reason they were left in from the start was because some of them (or the guy) believed that she had the dragon, so assuming that she had them it wouldn't change her position in anyway.
Also seriously Melisandra queefing out a puff of smoke wtf.

If you start obeying commands from merchants, it's kind of hard to style yourself a Queen.

My opinion of the desert scene was that she was very protective of her dragons and that showing them to people would make them greedy and either 1) kill them, or 2) force Dany to give the dragons away.

Yes but does common people still believe that dragons existed? Arya did find those but I don't think Red Keep is place where common people go to see skulls.

Littlefinger is my favourite character but it's so hard to follow him sometimes, if its just a plan of his masterplan or if he's getting emotional. So hard to separate which one it is at some points I feel, except episode 3 when he got really mad at Tyrion
I know he cares about Caetlyn, but question is would he lie to get her or would he tell the truth to get her? hmm...

Dragons was how the Targaryens came into power. Ruins burned by Drgaons can be seen by everyone.
Imagine if in our world Elephants become extinct. We would still know in 100 years that they existed.

Well he straight out lied to her about Arya. If he really cared about her he would not do that I guess.

Because her Dragons are tiny and weak (she doesn't even know what they eat).
The rest of her companions are starved and barely standing after months trekking across a desert, and there's a bare handful of them at that.
There's nothing stopping the council from just taking her Dragons from her if they realise they aren't a threat in the slightest.

Well people don't believe white walkers exist so I guess it depends how long time goes on. Even the Thirteen guys of Qarth asked to see dragons and didn't believe it (only one guy did) at all.
Elephants are well different thing but let say they existed 1000 years ago and we have some only tales about it, would you believe it still?

Wow great episode overall, but can someone explain to me what the fuck happened in the last scene? lol

Elephants are well different thing but let say they existed 1000 years ago and we have some only tales about it, would you believe it still? Yeah of course its all a question of elapsed time. Dragons are relatively recent. They have changed history not that long ago. And I guess their remains can stll be seen here and there. Like the eggs that were gifted to Dany. Noone doubted their authenticity, it was just believed they were dead.
But they also seem to believe that magic existed in the past judging from what the measter said to Bran. Remember even in the middle ages peole somewhat believed in sorcery and stuff, even if it never existed. So it is not hard to imagine that in a medieval like world where magic really existed not that long ago or might still exist in far away places that people really believe in it.
