"All this magic"
There was only one magical thing this entire episode. It's also been foreshadowed for quite some time that magic was real. Dunno while you're calling it unrealistic, especially since it's not like their suddenly casting fireballs at each other and leveling armies by chanting.

Magic is the backbone of the series. It may not look like it from the start, but if you expect a realistic story you gonna be dissapointed. Dl'ng the ep right now, will post with thoughts after I see it.

I wanted to do that before he opened his mouth in the first episode he was in.

It's just kind of annoying they didn't really establish that. The guy some distance up said it was established by the blue eyed zombie girl in ep 1, but I'm sure to most people like me that seemed more like a sort of credible but slightly far fetched monstrous type of creature. Monsters like dragons and large wolves are NOT magical really, they are completely believable to 'transplant' into our world. Even zombies can be 'transplanted' into our world without changing much. But being able to give birth to a shadow fiend, that's sort of a whole nother level. Would have been nice if they somehow had like a mage somewhere in the show early casting some sort of visible spell so we could see, you know, 'oh ok there's magic in this show, got it'. Most of the references towards magic have been like stylistically vague, I got the impression it was supposed to be like the way people in the olden days would view tricks.

Every week there's a new female character that I fancy even more

Man Rob is totally going to bone that nurse woman. Totally.
Awesome episode, red haired bitch giving birth to darkness. Pow.

Geoffrey just became my favorite character. He played it out like a boss. On the chair with the crossbow. I was laughing my ass off.

That would completely ruin the feel of the series. Most people in westeros doesn't believe in magic, and you are hearing their story. Having the woman give birth to a shadow fiend demon thingie is just as much "wtf?!" moment for Davos as it is for the viewers. This isn't a world where mages are placed on every corner to throw fireballs at each other. But it is a world where mystical things can happen.
