I have no clue but someone made a very good comparison between him and Robert Baratheon .... Could be that ...

Someone posted a link a while ago where the actors made a guess. But I dont think he stated which character resembles him the most, except for him wanting to have tyrions wit and personality

When he was interviewed and asked this very question he responded something to the effect of "There is a piece of me in all the characters, from good to bad, especially the point of view characters...you can't really write a character without putting a bit of yourself into them."
Something like that, I would link the interview but there are a lot of other things they talk about that would spoil people.

Well, a wink usually means "trust me". So maybe he was trying to communicate to Loras something to the effect of "don't worry, I know what I'm doing".

I watched the whole thing, unless I missed something I don't recall there being spoilers.

He may have, I haven't watched the video on the other page. The interview that I heard it from he also gave a reading from a new chapter in the next book.

Was flipping through the movie channels and landed on Shanghai Knights. Had to do a double take when the bad guy turns out to be Aidan Gillen (Little Finger)
And lol at his imdb pic http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0318821/
