The City Watch (I think) were killing Robert's bastards without hesitation, I don't know what's so special about Gendry that they need him alive, other than bringing to Joffrey then killing him for his entertainment.
Also, god damn, Yoren is a badass mofo. For some reason, I thought his story about how he kills someone by burying an axe into his skull was foreshadowing how he will die (like when Jaime told Jory about how he almost lost his eye in battle). He went out in a much more badass manner than I imagined. Despite not being a knight, he's more knightly than the vast majority of the knights in all of Westeros. He put his life at risk for some bastard commoner that really meant nothing to him.
"I'm not fond of crossbows" -Yoren, always with a mouth* full of piss.
edit Derr, wrong word.

That's cause he was a true Night Watch brother. From the moment they began their journey to the wall, he concidered every one of them his brother in black. He didn't show it much, but he was caring and friendly. Rip Yoren, Q_Q.

Damn, no Daenerys this episode. They completely left her out if I'm not mistaken. I hope this means next episode is one revolving around her - she's my favorite character by far. Well maybe Tyrion too, but he's a damn lannister!!!

I think that something that is being done on purpose with the nights watch. They might be a band of thieves and rapists but they are still brothers. Unlike knights who are not quite as noble as stories would have you believe.

There are just too many characters. I think they are doing really good so far.

I wish Daenerys would die.

I think if they knew for certain who he is they would kill him immediately, but they can't be sure and I don't think Joffrey would be very kind to them if they killed the wrong people (in the sense those people who have information about the bastard).
@shizna and others: please, leave all book discussion out of this. I'm quite aware that a lot of speculations might be wrong and that you alredy know that because you read the books, but I want to be able to talk about knowledge that I have now at least in the thread that was made for it without reading "they changed this, they left that out" or worse

lol, I've seen you post stuff like this before. What is it about Daenerys that pisses you off so much? Her resolve? Her dragons? Her compassion? All terrible qualities in a fictional character.

Episode was alright. Tyrion scheming like a boss. Still waiting for Tywinns next appearance, my favorite character so far. Always wish i would have waited till the whole season is out...
I feel strangely attracted to Brienne. She seems like an awesome character, hopefully we'll see more of her. Normally i'm more into petite women, so this confuses me.
edit:

I think they should do fewer but longer segments of the Targaryen. 3 minutes here and there just seems meaningless.
I feel like Arya and Gendry would get caught, but because Arya was nice to the dude in the prison wagon thing, he'll come back and be badass and murder some of the guards so they get away. But it seems like Arya can't get away succesfully, because then her "part of the story" would be over.
Tyrions little play was awesome to root out the spy, I didn't catch the first time around that he was giving different information to the different people, pretty much my favorite character this far in. I must admit I'm having a bit of hard time figuring out what his end play is, he seems to want his brother back, but on the other hand, he doesn't seem to want the same as his sister, and he doesn't seem like he care much for Joffrey being in charge. Does he want the power himself in the end? Is he somehow rooting for the Starks to rule the country?

Tyrion seems to be just enjoying the ride, seeing what life offers while not really actively going for anyone or anything. He looks after his brother like his brother looks after him. He is a total boss though.

A "wannabe tough whiny little bitch" who's been chased and threatened her whole life, abused by her brother, forced into marriage with a barbarian, had her child killed, etc...and she's only a teenager

I agree. He didn't want to go to King's Landing and he doesn't seem to like it. He just tries to stay alive and live a good (meaning fun) life while doing that. And it seems like he is very good at that. I think Varys and Tyrion are two of the very few people who don't long for being king /having "direct" power. Varys said himself that he serves the realm and he is someone who pulls strings in the background. Tyrion doesn't want to be king because he doesn't care for ruling, it would probably be an annoyance to him (and there would be so many more people who want to kill you). But he doesn't serve anyone either.

They just chose to explicitely show what was only hinted at in the books (though GRRM himself confirmed that they were, indeed, gay). It's pretty clear in the book that they are gay, but still it's kinda boring that HBO feel the need to put one fucking sex scene each episode for no fucking reason. I think the almost-sex scene with Loras and Renly was an excellent build-up for his conversation with Margaery later on - showing that their arrangement is a special one, motivated primarily by power and strategy, but not without affection. It also did a good job at establishing Margaery as a possible strong "female lead" character considering how smooth she handled the situation. Completely agree with this. The scene fit in extremely well. Also, being gay i have no problem with scenes like that. The rest of you can get over it once and a while.
hey, could you write me a PM too. i literally finished the second book moments ago and i too didn't get it where this is hidden in the books. thanks.

it's really small things that get mentioned. It's never outright said Renly is gay!!!1111 but there are subtle hints like comments about margerys virginity and similar things

And the little thing where he had his kingsguard dressed as a rainbow.
