I have a question to pose to TL GoT viewers. I feel like Gendry being sent to the wall as somewhat suspicious. When Ned visited Gendry the blacksmith he worked under seemed quite satisfied with him as an apprentice, but then Gendry claims his master got sick of him and sent him off to the wall. I recall the blacksmith saying he was strong for his age, and frankly the helmet he made speaks to his skill as a smith. So it seems a little odd for him to be suddenly sent to the wall once Robert died. Did Ned make arrangements with the blacksmith before his demise to send Gendry to the wall? Or maybe another member of the high council who knew Gendry was one of Roberts bastards? Or am I just thinking about it too hard + Show Spoiler [Minor but spoilery] + If I remember correctly the blacksmith does this to protect Gendry while not telling he his in danger therefore acting like he got sick of him. Would think the sea freezes there, giving a nice passage past the wall ^^ Oceans generally don't freeze over.

While not mentioned in the tv series, the blacksmith was payed to keep Gendry there, and generally doesn't give a fuck. During an endless winter? They don't on earth, because there's summer every year. I think it's pretty frozen at the polar caps though..

Pretty sure I heard one of the characters say in a previous episode that the sea has frozen during extremely long winters.

Made it perfect for televison, the authors prove to have a very good sense of what they're doing. Yeah I was impressed by the changes that they did, yet they kept the "meat" of the plot intact. Overall I love the direction the show is going in.

I'm sure this was for budget reasons or other very good excuses but I would REALLY like to see an epic battle this season xD

The Greyjoys worship the Drowned God, getting drowned lets them join their god. Think that's what he means.

The thing that makes GoT so freaking good for me is how exciting and well written all the characters and their storylines are so it was kinda tough personally to pick one. Anyway, noone in my class have read all the books as far as I know so we only follow the TV show without knowing whats gonna happen later in the story. The more popular storylines were Jon Snow's and the whole thing with the Night's Watch and the White Walkers, Arya's story and Tyrion of course. The one we were least found of as of right now was Daenerys Targaryen because that part felt kinda slow as of now but will for sure play a big role soon/later on. Me personally have become curious and interested in Bran. With all his dreams and the old stories plus his bonds to his/Starks wolfs it feels like he will become some sicko shape shifter or something or some kind of overmind that can control them. Or maybe thats just what they want me to believe. What about you guys? The most interesting characters and storylines imo: 1.- Tyrion by far, what a badass, his character is so perfect. And his handling of "the game of thrones" is outstanding in comparison to Stark, a completely different player. 2.- Arya, I just love that little girl, a great character and very interesting story, I bet as the story progresses she's gonna be more of a badass. 3.- Daenerys and the dragons. Her evolution from an abused and subjugated girl into a leader is awesome. All in all, shaping up to be another great season, needs a bit more action to start!
