The Sparrow had already converted him. He would have long since told him all about Cersei. But the Sparrow is a good player of the game as he is showing. He needed Cersei to arm his cult and to keep those in charge off his back when he imprisoned Loras/Margery. I assume he knew all about Cersei's crimes the entire time but was merely waiting for the right moment. What surprised me most was how utterly blind Cersei was. While it was obvious she was on a self destructive course and highly likely that the Sparrow would turn on her I would have expected her to be more aware of what it was she created by arming the militants. She should have known that the Sparrow wasn't just pretending to be a fanatic but was the actual deal which surely should send of every alarm bell in her head that she is in danger. Sand sisters still cringe worthy as hell. Get the feeling Jamie wont be in jail for long. He will probably just get released once he strops trying to save his daughter. With Cersei out of the way Olenna can work with Tommen now. Heck maybe they will indeed just cut a path through them and soak the streets in blood. Tyrion's reveal to Danny was anti-climactic as hell. Hopefully something more interesting will happen there soon. Stannis will give in to Mellisandra to save his army from the snowstorms and hopefully kick the Boltons arse.

2) I spoilered myself by accident about the Cersei imprisoment but the way it was portrayed felt rushed and not properly built. The sparrow actor is doing a fine job but I don't think they have developed well that plot. And for non-spoilered people I'd say that it was a pretty obvious move to have Cersei be imprisoned by the Faith. 3) So Sansa learned NOTHING "from the best" (Littlefinger). She runs crying to Theon asking for help and expects him to help her, exposing her plan to Ramsay and having the old lady flayed. Good job at scheming Sansa! 4) Sand Snake girl Boobs are up there with Ros as the best boobs on the show. Overall, I would say that this is the weakest season by far. I do enjoy books detours because I haven't read them but apparently the stuff that is different from the books is not being developed properly in terms of plot.

I feel like this season is feeling a bit dull for some people is that they seem to be setting up for some huge stuff happening in the last few episodes. It just feels like all of the story lines are nearing to something epic or big happening with Jon going north of the Wall, Stannis marching to Winterfell, Cercei being thrown in jail (and ofc the trial of Loras and Margaery) etc.

1) The Sparrows "storyline" was poorly executed. I mean - we saw a couple of guys getting their blood tatoos on their foreheads, and suddenly, everyone is afraid of them. I have no idea how this is done in the books, if at all, but this was just bad. I think that they're supposed to feel like another branch of power, but again - we saw just a few guys getting armed. 2) I don't know if this was discussed before, but I somehow feel that their "power" comes from holding prisoners that they might kill if pressured enough. Think about it - who is going to attack them when they have so many high-level characters in their tombs? War is not going to help here. They don't care about their own lives etc. They can just easily kill Cersei, Margery, or Lorras. So that's where I feel their power comes from. They were noones in the beginning, but this changed because of these imprisonments. 3) The Bron / sandsnake woman was pretty stupid imo. To tell the truth, there was a number of such scenes in this season. Hopefully it will come into some kind of fruition later, but still... this was not really a previous GoT quality stuff. 4) The "Sam and Gilly" scene was... well... again, too much deus ex machina stuff for GoT. There is a problem, so let's just magically put a direwolf in there. Wtf, really? No foreshadowing or logic whatsoever. Normally, he would get killed and the girl would get raped, end of story. This and the Bron scene really made me cringe. 5) The queen of the dragons made her dragon burn a slavemaster alive, and witnessed so many deaths during her storyline that her "I just cannot watch people killing themselves, omg omg omg" attitude does not seem consistent to me. What the fuck? I understood that it was against her moral values to give this a go, but once it happened, she should have been accustomed to this kind of stuff by now. 6) For the same reason, I really like the Sansa/Reek/Ramsay storyline. It is really consistent, and I love how they play with it. Was Reek really going to light a candle? Or not? I had no idea, and I was holding my breath there. And it happened exactly how it was supposed to be, based on my past experiences with the show. Still, I rooted for Reek to get out of Ramsay's influence. Best part of this episode imo. Overall, I like this season, but not because it's good compared to the past ones; it's just because it's game of thrones and I love the series. It makes me cringe that there are only three episodes left. I don't even think that "nothing has happened". There are many things happening all over the place, there is just a lot of foreshadowing, and I like that. I think that we just grew to expect HUGE stuff and suprises to take place often. Now we're mostly looking forward to that, and if the show doesn't deliver, we feel that it's a little dull. My problem is that some characters are beginning to be a little inconsistent, and the "consistency" was something I praised in the past seasons. Still the best show for me atm. Looking forward to every part of it!

Oh, and the only way the Sand Snake story could become even more amusing would be if next episode they fight against Bronn again, but the one Sand Snake changes sides and then fights alongside Bronn.

With them "gone", the show is lackluster in terms of interesting storylines. Or at least all we have had is build-up.

There's quite a lot of them when they get the High Septon earlier in the season. And from what has been implied, they've got the people on their side, and that's the scary part. Also they now have female members, I don't think we saw any of those before(?) 2) I don't know if this was discussed before, but I somehow feel that their "power" comes from holding prisoners that they might kill if pressured enough. They were noones in the beginning, but this changed because of these imprisonments. Check out the scene where Tommen tries to go talk to the High Sparrow. The Faith are blocking the way up, but the commoners are also calling him out from below. Again, popular support. Especially with Tommen being an incest child. 3) The Bron / sandsnake woman was pretty stupid imo. To tell the truth, there was a number of such scenes in this season. Hopefully it will come into some kind of fruition later, but still... this was not really a previous GoT quality stuff. This would've been better with a darker season. Our favorite characters are dying, but hey, there's Jaime and Bronn for some comic relief. Other than the duel I've liked it so far. We have Jaime progressing as a fighter, being able to take down his first guy by getting his sword jammed in his hand. Eventually Bronn's teaching about unconventional fighting should break through, and he can use it like a club or something... I hope. He's developed as a character, he should develop as a fighter now. Ghost hasn't gone anywhere. We've seen him hang around Castle Black, so he isn't prowling the seven kingdoms like Nymeria. So it's nice because nobody was expecting it. Jon is gone, Aemon is gone, but Ghost is still loyal to Sam. Sam isn't the kind of guy who can make friends, and Gilly probably isn't going to train with a sword anytime soon, so at least he's got one last supporter who has his back. She saw the burning of the master as a means to an end, a necessary punishment, but the fighting pits as a continuation of slavery (even though they're free now, we saw in the scene where Jorah and Tyrion are paid that they're basically paid slaves now), and needless violence. Especially how the fighters are basically doing this to amuse her, at least so the tradition goes. It's like the scene where Daario and Grey Worm are holding their swords in a contest to ride by her side, she isn't entertained by any of it. Agreed. Personally I think what they should do is just have Theon reappear to Sansa as an even more shivering wreck, maybe clutching a body part, and just leave what happened in between to our imagination. At this point we've seen how far Ramsay can go; only the unknown can be more scary. Overall, I like this season, but not because it's good compared to the past ones; it's just because it's game of thrones and I love the series. Other than your point on Daenerys I don't see any inconsistency. Sam still can't fight for shit, Jorah delivers as expected, Stannis warms up to his daughter but is still a cold bastard (although I'm interested to see what he does with Shireen coming up), and Sansa is wiser but still can't do much physically, especially since her husband is into S&M. Still the best show for me atm. Looking forward to every part of it!

It's a cask opener apparently. No idea what she'll do with it, but considering they actually foreshadowed Olenna being the poisoner of Joffrey with the little bead that disappears from Sansa's necklace, they wouldn't show us that for nothing. Do you mean Myranda?
