Because someone eats that shit? I mean come on.
God Deb is annoying.

Cutting people up and having a fascination about blood is one thing, but actually consuming flesh/limbs? That is truly a special kind of twisted.

Yeah I have to agree. I've been waiting for Dexter to finally prepare and execute a kill again and in then it was only 20 seconds at the end. There is also nobody who is a threat to Dexter right now besides Deb (maybe Vogel), so she really is the focus this season which is too bad, since I hate her. Just not enough of Dexter's usual cat and mouse game being played right now. It's all about Deb.

i took it as dexter being disgusted by the thought of consuming human flash, not the fact that he saw a dead finger or w/e it was. its just the idea thats disgusting to him, which is true because killing and consuming human victims is one of the most messed up things you can do.
looks like its gonna be vogel vs deb this season, vogel is gonna try and make deb kill herself or something.

They can't do that, Batista has to.

I actually think Quinn is going to compromise more and more to save Deb, just as Deb did for Dexter. I dont know, he seems like he loves her enough to fake evidence and such to protect her.

You guys realize, this entire season, especially with Vogel, has been a huge build up to the entire question of Dexter's existance - is he a monster, and can he live a normal life someday. Every season he's questioned this. This is why Vogel's introduction this season is particularly interesting. She created him, and now she's realizing that he's more human than any o the psychopath's she's really studied. He cares for Debra, truly not like a fake emotion, but Dexter legitimately loves her, and she is so confused by it since Dexter is supposed to be 'perfect'. The finger thing is just another little hint that Dexter, while doing monstrous things himself, has a moral compass, and eating people even shocks him.
It's not like he's a pussy or anything, when they first discovered the 'brain surgeon' kill he had that typical genuinely look of 'oooooh interesting' when he saw the brain cut out. Ultimately the question will be answered in this final season. If he truly is a monster, he'll either be killed (by probably Hannah who hasn't even appeared this season yet!) or arrested to face his crimes, or ultimately he'll realize, he doesn't have to be this way, and he isn't a monster, and that for the sake of Debra, Harrison, and everyone he's come to love in his life, he can lead a normal life.
references: + Show Spoiler + Season 1: true pure dexter, most monstrous probably, but his relationship with Rita shows he can slowly learn to care, especially for the kids. He even has mixed emotions about his brother because he finally has someone he can share with, but ultimately his love for Debra extends beyond even his psychopath brain and he proves he isn't just a monster. But ultimately sees that he can't ever share his true self, and has to kill his brother.
Season 2: Rita again serves as his human component, but you see it further with how he handles Doakes. He doesn't want to kill him. He even contemplates confessing. He even thinks crazy british chick is nutso despite him obviously being a killer. But Ultimately Doakes is killed but not at his own hand, and he kills crazy bitch in response again, ending the season like the first, just when he thinks he is being truly human again, he has to resolve things in a monstrous way.
Season 3: Marriage to Rita and his full realization that he truly loves his family especially Rita. Debra intertwined as further proof he's not just a serial killer/psychopath. Harrison enters his world as well, he confides and finds an ally in Miguel, but again, everyone who ever finds out about his secret, and he grows fully close to, turns out more crazy than him, and he has to resolve it by sacrificing his humanity by becoming his monster again.
Season 4: He see's Trinity living out a full/long life, and is intrigued. Maybe he can do it too! There's hope he can be a fully normal person with a loving family right?! Nope, loses Rita probably the closest thing he ever has to being Human truly, and is left with losing his family (kids leave) and he luckily has Harrison to direct his desire for love for. Monster moment comes when he kills Trinity, and ironically, if he didn't rescue him off the building, he would've saved Rita's life inadvertently.
Season 5: Only person to learn his secret and survive, Lumen creates someone he can confide in, and be human with, but ultimately realizes she was just on a revenge mission and not a killer like him, and he is once again alone.
Season 6: Realizes that other serial killers have their own dark passengers, and in this case, we are actually fooled along the way to think it was 2 people. Try's to do something human by seeking faith. Is turned more and more human with his interactions with Brother Sam, but unfortunately he meets an untimely death, and strangely shows his own humanity when he shows anger and kills Sam's killer right on the beach when he realizes Brother Sam's killer doesn't deserve to live. Weird parallels drawn between him and Travis, particularly how Travis pictures Dexter as the devil.
Season 7: Hannah, yadda yadda people get it.

Or he'll realize he really is a monster, and kill himself before he hurts Deb.

Literally last episode Vogel interpreted his emotional statements towards Deb to be inhernetly selfish and psychopathic, and they certainly seemed to fall in that line to me. I dont think were going to be concluding Dexter is a non psychopathic jolly good man who has a weird hobby. I think tihs season will end with his life imploding and everyone around him dead or dieing, and with Dexter showing his bad side.

I would really like a shakespeare ending with everyone that is close to Dexter dieing, him feeling real guilt for the first time and killing himself. I don´t think a happy ending would fit well with this series and Dexter´s character.

This show will only end with Dexter either being arrested or dead. It can't really end any other way, I don't think they want to convey the idea that super serial killers get away with this shit ;D

I could also see a possible Hannah+Dexter fleeing to Argentina, to leave some sort of chaos back home.

Dexter would never kill himself.

I'd watch it now. Hate to keep being cynical, but Dexter has fallen in quality so much, I feel you kind of need a weekly break to really miss it and want to watch the next episode.
