They bring in a character that seems very obviously to be a villain, or at least a psychopath herself, and we make predictions based on that. Unfortunately, that seems predictable. So they throw the box scene in and we see that she isn't in on it (Or at least not aware she's in on it), and so we can logically presume she's not the murderer. But if they wrote in a multiple personality twist, then that scene's only purpose would be to throw us off, to purposefully deceive the viewer. That would be lame. | ||

She isn't in prison, she got out because she took that thing that drops her heartbeat if I remember right, at the end of season 7 it showed her dropping flowers off outside Dexter's apartment. I still don't think the killer is her though, I imagine that Vogel is in on it to try and bend Dexter to her own will. | ||
