I must be completely forgetting the reasoning behind that. it was him or Isaac. If he didnt manage to kill isaac within X days, they would send some people to kill mr. stripclubowner (at least thats how I remember it). Actually, the strip club owner wanted Isaac dead because he thought that Isaac was being too wreckless and attracting too much police attention. For example, the murders of the Drug Dealers that Dexter lead him to, etc. Too much police attention is bad for the illegal parts of the business.

That was a cheesy and overall underwhelming ending to Isaac. The whole burn killer storyline seems very boring I'm not really sure what the next 3 episodes will be about. Is it just going to be Laguerta prancing around like a side character the entire episode? Will it be Deb, Dex and Hannah doing the dirty? Everything that was built up earlier this season is just tumbling down.

Isaac sure deserved it, I'm disappointed he didn't meet his end in proper Dexter fashion. The last time we saw Dexter's table, Hannah was on it ^^ And that table has never looked so good...

The irony lol, he "dies" in a fiery explosion and then starts burning people.

After watching the last episode, I feel a similar feeling to when L died in Death Note. You got a well developed protagonist and antagonist, both who you are cheering for, and then the antagonist dies in the middle of the season. Now I have no idea what to expect for the rest of the season, but I hope it's good.

This season is all over the place.
That video game guy that turned out to be nothing but filler, the kids coming back for some reason, Hannah, Isaac, Quinn being corrupt, Laguerta finding out the truth, Deb confessing her true feelings for Dexter, couple of episodes left and they introduce Hannahs abusive dad and some killer that burns people alive and lets not forget about Batista opening a restaurant. That shit is important..

Title of the season finale happens to be: "Surprise, Motherfucker!"

That shit is important.. Video game guy dying is part of the tragic irony that Isaac ends up helping Dexter in so many ways (aside from teaching him to open up to Hannah). Kids came back for Hannah to see. The Quinn story was well developed on its own. Laguerta finding out the truth is not concluded yet. Deb confessing is a continuation of a theme from season 6. Hannah's abusive dad is just character development, doesn't need to go anywhere else. Killer that burns people is setting up the new plot since Isaac is now dead. Batista opening a restaurant is part of the theme of Debra's co-workers growing distant to her. (so is Quinn's story about getting involved with a hooker, Laguerta finding out about Dexter.)
TLDR; pay the fuck attention before playing the critic.

Man, I kinda lost motivation to watch other episodes, the pyro guy has no story behind him to be interesting, Laguerta is just as annoying as ever, and Batista gets almost no screen time at all.
And why did Isaac have to die so quickly, so sad.

The only thing I am really interested in is seeing Laguerta finally realizing it's Dexter. The rest is like fodder to me.

Only two episodes before the finale anyway. I'm sure they'll think of something.

I like Hannah, but unfortunately they're gonna kill her off. It's about time this show received a new permanent character.

I thought it was a bit ridiculous how the Brotherhood went to such lengths to break one of their leaders out of jail, the shortly after they send assassins to kill him... gang ADD.

The way he died was kinda... "oh for fuck sake" aswell. I knew he was gonna die, but it should have been to Dexter and they should of had that "i am a dying man" conversation with Isaac on his table. That guy showing up and shooting him was just so damn anticlimatic.

well yes and no, they needed to tie in George (strip club owner) into the whole thing so now Dexter has to kill him, which will in turn help out Joey, but probably not before Nadia gets killed or something.
And regarding the above poster who so beautifully refuted all of the reasons so many subplots are happening, also remember that part of Batista buying a restaurant is to foreshadow the 'end'. Batista is one of the original characters of the show, him initiating retirement means that a lot of other people are going to be considering the same, and since next season is supposed to be the end, they want to start leading you towards that ending, some happy endings, probably some tragic ones, but ultimately an end and a way to tie up all loose ends. Batista retiring and opening a restaurant is just a side way of showing that he is not only growing distant with Deb, but with the entire department, he lost his trust in his partner last season when Quinn left him for near dead against the DDK, and he lost Deb as well when she got promoted. I dunno why, but this retirement talk almost guarantees (in my eyes) that he will probably die before this series is over.

I thought this was supposed to be the last season?
