And I want Hannah to die as fast as possible. It's not like I don't like the character, but having her on the "good" side just feels wrong.

Kids came back for Hannah to see. The Quinn story was well developed on its own. Laguerta finding out the truth is not concluded yet. Deb confessing is a continuation of a theme from season 6. Hannah's abusive dad is just character development, doesn't need to go anywhere else. Killer that burns people is setting up the new plot since Isaac is now dead. Batista opening a restaurant is part of the theme of Debra's co-workers growing distant to her. (so is Quinn's story about getting involved with a hooker, Laguerta finding out about Dexter.) TLDR; pay the fuck attention before playing the critic. All Im saying is that they are trying to do a lot of things at the same time. I thought that the video game guy would have a bigger part than vindictive nerd. They estalished him as a smart guy with a dark side but it didnt lead anywhere. Trying to set up a new plot when there are only three episodes left is also an odd choice. Batista opening a restaurant was a joke, I probably should have made that more clear. We will see if they can sum this season up nicely in three episodes without it feeling rushed or badly written. As an example I didnt like the way they completely dropped the Quinn trying to find out information about Kyle Butler plot or how they just get rid of the kids when they feel they are not needed. Dont tell me to pay attention because I know exactly what is going on.

Like, do you want to watch a show where Dexter is parenting after work and is making kids breakfast? They acknowledge that the kids are there and that's all they need to fucking do. For all we know Dexter sees Harrison every day. It's just not important to the plot! The show is about Dexter and his character development not Dexter and how he parents. If it the kids were shown more i guaren fucking tee you would be bitching 10x more.

I was actually glad when they killed Rita because I thought that they had already played out the family card and it was time to move on. I just dont like how they pop up now and then.

They HAVE to show them once in a while to show the writers haven't just conveniently written them out of the entire dexter universe. Not to mention they serve a purpose. They always do. If you can't see their purpose when they do show up your not looking hard enough. And complaining about it just reinforces that lack of insight.

Putting too much faith in their own allowed him to remain unnoticed for a very long time...one would think that discovering that one of the most prolific serial killers in American history worked in the same building for years would impel them to improve their security.

That whole episode was a complete reversal of where the show was going and not in a good way >< So disappointed with Issac's complete 180 going from giving up his entire lively hood just to kill Dexter into "oh hai, i captured your girlfriend because I've been watching you for a long long time and just now am using this information. but i need your help lol cause the two most inept killers in the world are here" I could see if the two people who came were seriously bad news but honestly they were pretty f'ing careless and easy to get rid of. So Issac basically died for nothing and all that time spent with his storyline was for nothing. The storyline of this season went from great into...comparable to the last couple seasons of Dexter (which is not a compliment). I'm very disappointed with how it turned out.

I suppose they didn't have to introduce as many elements as they did, but yeah, we're done after next season.

@lawdog1244 sometimes actors schedules affect story. Just the way things happen. But I stand by how he died & what it meant to Dexter. #Thor - 11:53 PM - 26 Nov 12 According to Ray Stevenson's (AKA Isaak Sirko) filmography he has recently completed filming for G.I. Joe (scheduled 2013; possibly during Dexter's filming), and is currently filming for Thor (scheduled 2013). Quite a shame the writers had to shorten his role in Season 7 to fit into his schedule"

Pretty good character killed off for plot convenience ![]() The weird thing is why he wasn't shot right in the face especially at that range. So be happy you got to see him live that long. ![]()

It just feels to me like a terribly bad season ending and a new season starting next week which will most likely be terrible too because there is only 3 episodes left and LaGuerta plays a major role in it. In only 1 episode Dexter and his arch enemy (whose story built up over 7 episodes and who swore to fight Dexter until one of them dies) randomly have to team up to defeat 2 of the apparently best killers there is (haha!) in broad daylight without anyone noticing and no preparation at all; only to get surprised by the randomly appearing barkeeper (why the fuck was he even there?) in the worst death of a major character ever ("There is no point in trying to help me, I will bleed to death within the next few hours anyway!"). And while all of that happened, they introduced a new killer, gave LaGuerta some time on screen and somewhat dealt with Deb's Love to Dexter. Really...? REALLY? Why not give everyone in this episode some machine guns and rocket launchers and call it Expendables 3. Edit: typos

The whole "Laguerta catching onto Dexter's shenanigans" thing better be going somewhere.
