Better than me, I get distracted by listening to Niggas in Paris over and over, lol.
My lasting favorite of his is King Geedorah - Take Me to Your Leader, it has a great overall draw to it and the use of movie samples is like as good as Liquid Swords.
On my iTunes all of MM... Food sits at the top with every song having at least 37 listens(and it was the only album on my phone for all of spring and summer). The next most listened has 30(Aesop Rock's None Shall Pass). The album is crazy fucking good.
well the first line makes sense since he has a distinct rap style. Like how some rappers say they spit bars like a machine gun, doom spits like a gun with a silencer, still violent and deadly tho. I have no idea what the second line is about lol.I guess it might be that he says he gets weird looks and stuff and doesn't make a lot of money(dusty pullover) when he raps but in the end his rhymes are superior to everyone as he gets a Pulitzer( award for literature).

Makes sense. The dusty pullover may also be about the Cosby sweater he always wears.
Its a part of one of my favorite reoccurring Doom jokes, that he's actually broke as fuck. Its a nice contrast to a lot of rappers, and he slips it in clever and weird ways.
Also he wears cheesy old man sweaters, which coincidentally enough is a hilarious visual contrast to his mask.
my favorite reoccurring doom joke is when he says how he "wrote this one" rhyme or song
"Wrote this one with his middle finger in wet cement" "Wrote this rhyme lightly off a two or three Heinies" "Wrote this lyrics from in the bed with a chick" "This one he wrote in cold blood with a tooth pick" "I wrote this note around New Year's Off a couple a shots and a few beers, but who cares?" etc. XD

eh I feel like a lot of rappers rap about being broke as fuck when they're first out/just hit success, like "damn I didn't have shit now look at me" and it's only after a couple albums that they start rapping about Bentleys and Versace and shit
Nah, he raps about being broke 25 years into his rap career. And its not a "oh I'm on the come up" stuff, its like bragging about having old clothes, broken cars, grimey shit. Its:
Phantom of the Grand Ole Opry ask the dumb hottie Masked pump shotty, somebody stop me Hardly come sloppy on a retarded hard copy After rockin' parties he departed in a jalopy Watch the droptop papi
On a sidenote, Rhinestone Cowboy is one of my favorite songs of all time.
A radio station in England are celebrating November as Hip Hop month (they play mostly hip hop anyway tbh) and they have put a vote out for the best hip hop song EVER! Thought it could be fun for us to all vote and write down who we voted for or even link to youtube of the track See if we all put similar results etc. List your top 3 from the list and Add a song or (2 or 3) which isn't on the list!
That list made my head hurt tbh, very 90s and 80s biased imo. Shocked as well that Loose Yourself didn't get on there, thats one the most iconic rap songs of all time.
I find it interesting that they list the Aerosmith version of Walk this Way but I suppose that's the better known one glanced over the list, would probably have slotted in Forgot about Dre but maybe that's just me, and why is forever the drake song they picked
based on what I looked at (and I didn't read every entry) Straight outta compton Gin & Juice In Da Club
honorable mentions to NY State of Mind and 99 problems but I both feel the above hold up better and at the end of the day I realized I have a preference for more "fun" sounding songs like in da club
