This thread is about the most awesome, radical, totally mathematical show on television:
Since MLP:FIM has its own thread, I figured I could create one for Adventure Time as well.
What is it?
Basically, it is a kid's show, that "has a great setting, a very unique art style, lovely characters, cool music, engaging stories, everything you'd expect from a show like this."
It's extremely weird, the humor is absolutely random and unpredictable, it has no overarching story or anything that could slow down the awesomeness.
If you see it high, you will constantly laugh, if you see it sober you will just love it.
The basic storyline:
A young guy lives in the magical kingdom of Ooo, his best friend is a magical dog that can take on any form, they have a sword and they fight bad dudes and they have awesome adventures and they have a cool video game console named BMO (Beemo) who can also talk and there's a vampire who plays the bass.

This is quite a long review, so I invite you to stay if you are interested.
Adventure Time has a great setting, a very unique art style, lovely characters, cool music, engaging stories, everything you'd expect from a show like this.
To start off, the voice acting is excellent, the actors fit the roles of the characters really well, and on top of that, you will find familiar voices you may have heard from other TV shows (such as John DiMaggio who voiced Bender from Futurama).
On to the story, Adventure Time is something that you have to get involved in to get the most enjoyment out of it. Almost every character is developed and explored to the point that we get to care about what their goals are or what they believe, however they don't explore every single back story point in detail, and that is good, by leaving a character mystery unsolved it allows for people to make up their own assumptions about what it could've been like, the most clear of cases is the Mushroom war, all we know about it is that it was a nuclear war, but we don't get to see what happened, and that's what leaves that plot with an air of mystery surrounding it, adding depth to it. If you are not willing to get a hold of the story, then my guess is that you will not experience this show in it's true glory, however it's gags are pretty funny and the action is great, there's a lot of adult humor and violence that you'd not found in a normal kids show.
The characters are great. We have Finn and Jake as our main protagonists, Finn is a human boy (supposely the only one left of the human race) and Jake is his adoptive brother, a shape-shifting dog; these 2 share a really strong bond, and that is shown in the show, they have saved each other life's countless times and they have a really big friendship. There's also the princesses, the most relevant one being Princess Bubblegum, a woman who's hair is made of bubblegum (duh), she loves science, math and Finn has a crush on her, she is ruler of the Candy Kingdom and her best friend is Lumpy Space Princess, who lives in Lumpy Space, she acts like a bratty teenager on the outside even though she has good intentions, she is a really funny character and she provides most of the comic relief. You also got Marceline, a vampire queen who befriends Jake and Finn in one episode, at first she is not happy with them, but as it goes on they become friends.
The art style is simplistic, but unique, and it works within the twisted nature of the show, I don't what what else I can say about it really, it's not for everyone, but for the show itself, I think it has the most appropriate art style it could have.
There's a few things I don't like though, for example I don't enjoy very much episodes not centered around our main characters (not counting Fionna and Cake since those are just gender-swaps), and I don't like the character of Tree Trunks very much, not that she is bad, but the episodes centered around her tend to be a bit boring.
But overall, I really have nothing to complain about, this show is great, it has saved Cartoon Network for me, and it deserves a 10/10, it's not for everyone but if it is for you, I'm sure you will love it.
