I think it'll go down like that as well, although I'm not sure how much the "free from Double Jeopardy" procedural defense encompasses in a fraud case like this. From what the prosecutor was saying, I gathered that Mike is commiting fraud every time he signs something as a lawyer. So maybe those can be seen as different cases each time :D.

Oh man that would be the worst plot ever lol

Eh that isn't criminal though, people get caught with fake diplomas all of the time and even though they lose their careers they never go to jail for it

Not if they use the false diploma to do a Job said diploma would be required for (medical doctors are a nice example).

Yeah, the show is a bit blurry on whether Mike's real crime is committing fraud by holding himself out as a Harvard graduate or by practicing law without a license.
I found the first episode quite weird that they initially suspected Trevor or Scotty of ratting out Mike. Seems much more likely that it would be Claire or the priest.
Here's hoping it was an inside job. Louis tipping off the US attorney's office would be perfect.

that would suck wed have to hate louis

I think this is semantics, since the fraud is claiming to be a lawyer, harvard just happens to be where he's claiming to be from but i doubt he could be separately charged for committing fraud for doing lawyer things AND fraud for claiming to be from harvard, otherwise all of those charges would just be stacked against him right now
Besides to prove lawyer fraud they'd have to prove he didn't go to harvard, if they couldn't prove the former they won't be able to prove the latter

I think the original super-opportunistic-and-selfish Louis Litt might have tried a power play like this, but we've seen his character evolve so much- especially his sincerity and appreciation for everyone- that current Louis could never backstab everyone like this. Plus, he'd just get dragged down with everyone else who was in on the secret.
It's not Louis

If you follow the eliminations on USA's website + Show Spoiler +it's not jessica, donna, louis, rachel, or harvey, and there's other people that have also been eliminated (trevor, robert, etc)

maybe they are gonna write off sheila. make louis choose between sheila or the firm

I feel like he already indirectly had to leave Sheila because Sheila didn't want children.

Obligatory because we would all wipe out a village as high as he wanted.

I thought it was the random girl who knew Mike as a bike courrier. By eliminating Trevor and Scotty, it's pretty much between her and Sheila randomly starting to dig in her ex-boyfriend's firm.
It's a pretty lame thread to hang this whole story on, though.
EDIT: It could be Katrina somehow figuring it out, but then Howard Zane would know. And Jenny. Which would be even dumber than the random girl: after like 5 years of not giving a shit, Jenny decides to pay Mike back for cheating on her by destroying his life?

iirc wasn't it Jenny who technically cheated on Trevor with Mike?
Separately, when Jenny had come back into Mike's life, Mike slept with Tess... but Mike and Jenny weren't together then iirc?

Despite not being a huge fan of Jeff, that Jeff/Mike scene at the end has one of my favorite emotional non-Louis lines now... + Show Spoiler +It cost her her relationship with me!

Yeah that was pretty good. Mike's reaction was pretty believable as well.
