That might have happened.... but probably won't considering Asami is going to betray them and turn out to be a villian =p
...or maybe I'm just being paranoid about her because she reminds me so much of Lust from Fullmetal Alchemist. Either way she gives off that bad vibe. I thought there was a chance that she wasn't evil and jus was there to get Korra jealous, but now that Korra seems to have accepted her it sets up the betrayal all the better. Anyway, I'm calling that now.

I think there's bound to be (at least) one currently friendly character that will turn out to be an antagonist [last airbender spoiler]+ Show Spoiler +kind of like Zuko and Iroh started out as bad guys and turned into allies.

Anyway I'm glad they got the love triangle stuff out of the way now, rather than forcing it later in the series.
Hopefully next episode will move the story forward as opposed to the bending tourney (it's been hinted Amon is going to crash the party). Can't wait.

Ya, that episode was painful to watch for me. Maybe it was just because they were all being so blunt about it, but it was just so cheesy and I hate those lovey dovey episodes in the first place.
First 4 episodes were great though so I don't see it as a big deal as long as they get back to the story.

Hey guys, ...why are Mako's eyes golden? I thought only people from the fire nations royal family could have golden eyes. At least from my memory it seemed that way in TLA.
Though if this were the case and Mako and Bolin were really related to the royal family some how, it seems unlikely they would have wondered the streets as nobody's though out child hood.

This is true, but if there was a royal family connection, then it is a bit weird...also, isn't bending somehow genetic? How did they end up as different benders if they are related? I guess if the father was one type and the mother another...possible history plot point there.
It is probably not worth thinking too much about yet, but maybe something someday.
