Essentially forcing a kiss onto Mako after sort of leading Bolin on and doing all of this while knowing that Mako is in a relationship. She just comes off as an inconsiderate ass. Even at the end of the episode I didn't feel like her character had grown a significant amount. I hope that over the course of the series she becomes a little more likable.
My favorite character right now is probably Bolin.
Everything you said seems pretty true, honestly I think the characters are the weakest part of this show so far. Even Bolin and Mako seem somewhat generic to me and just sort of meh. At this point my favorite character is probably Amos... sad but true.
Overall I think the series is great though, I guess I should wait and see where the characters go. The characters in TLA just seem better overall so far, and I'm a bit worried that since it's a mini-series they won't try to introduce many new ones.

I'm just really looking forward for when she will be able to go into one of her like avatar trances and see Ang.

That's not for at least another 15 years, cos it's gonna have to be Jinora, Ikki or Meelo's children.

Doesn't have to be, we don't know if the other 2 children of Aang and Katara have children. Also they are suppose to be older than Tenzin. So they might have more mature children, though i would say its unlikely Katara dies in this series due to this information.

Seeing Bolin in tears in episode 5 was hilariously sad. I think a lot of Korra fans (such as myself) can relate to his extremely socially awkward situation :D.

I wanted to feel sad for him but his hilarious way of crying just made me laugh instead

Just watched all five episodes. AHhhhhhhh you guys complain way too much. THIS SHIT IS AWESOME.
I have to re watch all of TLA now. I forgot so much of it since I just blasted through it all in like 3 days about a year ago.
Aoubt the comics that are supposed to link TLA to Korra, how many of them are out right now? I know it's supposed to be a trilogy. I read the first one. I don't want to read the second and then wait like 6 months liek I did with the first one, cause I prettymuch already forgot everything that happened in it.
:D I miss this show.

The Avatar State was really cool on Aang cause he went all glowy. Korra has no tattoos though so it'll just be her eyes.
Also, was anyone else wondering what an earthbender avatar's spirit animal would be? Roku had a dragon, so fire would be dragons. Then we have flying bison for air, and the polarbeardog for water. Earth? Badger moles?
And has it been explained where Tenzin got his flying bision? I assumed Appa was the last. Are they asexual or wat

It was revealed by the creators that Aang had crossed a herd of sky bisons during his travels. I'm guessing these herds reproduced and Tenzin was able to have one for his own.

Are you talking about the Avatar: The Promise series of comics? The first one is out, the second comes out this week I think...and the third one in like two months. I love the first one and I am excited for the second one.
EDIT: The second one is actually not for another month, then the third one is slated for about a month after that. Not sure why the delay...they were supposed to come out within a couple months of one another.

I certainly hope that Bolin ends up being the pick of Korra but the chances are slim based on what these shows tend to give.
My guess is Makos girl ends up being some badguy (her dad is big on technology obviously) and that is how room is made for their relationship.

I literally screamed NOOOOOO BOLINNNN while semi-laughing on my face when the kiss happened. Also I would really like to see Aang later in the series(its going to happen). A lot of people are commenting on how they don't like Korra's personality. Imo, I really like how she completely contrasts Aang and how shes more of a go with the flow kind of avatar like the last water avatar( seen in sozin's comet). This show really does a good job as a homage to the original and still setting itself as a different show. I'm expecting greatness from Legend of Korra.

i think its just me but i feel like the episodes so far seemed a little rush. like things are happening a little too quickly. like oh im gna meet this dude and the next second, they meet without any form of anticipation.

I've been reading a lot of this thread and you pepole have a lot of information. Is it all just from interviews or whatever with the creators? Tenzin's siblings were mentioned in the show, but apparently everyone knows that one can't bend while the other is a waterbender. Wheres this info come from?
As for the bison, that's pretty cool. I guess it wouldn treally make sense for them to eliminate all the flying bison, after all.

Its kind of ironic that my friend feels the series is moving too slow lol.
But it was bound to happen when they announced it was going to be one season 12 episodes (of course it was extended to 2 seasons 26 episodes) but still in comparison to the 60 episodes of TLA, its quite a bit smaller. I was really sad to hear it was only 30 minutes again especially after hearing it was 26 episodes only. I was REALLY hoping for an hour, I dont care if they have to fluff it a bit lol

This show is SO good. I really want her to go Avatar State already and just pwn the hell out of some chi blockers haha. The Last Airbender was one of my favorite shows ever so I'm glad this is out :D
