An explosion that has melted off your face will also knock you out- there's no way you'd be standing, let alone walking out.
How can everyone miss the fact that Walt and Jesse discovered and exploited Gus' only weakness, his overwhelming need for revenge. Remember when hes sitting in the car and Tyrus says to him "why don't I just take care of this" and Gus shoots him down. His never ending quest to avenge the death of his ex-partner in the end got him killed. If he could have just let go he'd still be around kicking asses.

Yep!! Very awesome. They spoke about that on the breaking bad podcast which you guys can check out at the AMC website. I've been listening to that weekly this entire season. It's awesome actually to hear their insight into the characters and how about their techniques in filming. gogo~~

Not all explosion in close range knock people out. Rarely, there are people who are still conscious from close range blast. What people should be bitching about is the fact that his other half of clothes are in completely fine condition. Normally, a blast from that close range should have messed up his entire clothes.

Not necessarily true. Even extreme brain trauma can be localized in such a way that it goes "unnoticed" by the person.
I liked how it happened. Maybe the awareness center of his brain was badly damaged or destroyed, and he fell back into instinctual rituals - cool, calm, collected.
So, I might be remembering this incorrectly, but they described the kids symptoms as "like a cold." I guess that might be compatible with inhalation, but really none of these quite fit. I don't think Walt killing him makes any sense. Gus doing it might make some sense, but then he would be going out of his way to get the ricin, which he may or may not even know about. The kid just randomaly getting seriously sick is too coincidental. I'm thinking it turns out not to be ricin at all, and then hopefully a more legit storyline can be made.
I saw this on another forum. When Walt spins the gun the third time it points away from him, specifically at that white plant. It seems to be White Monkshood (Aconitum), which is toxic.
"Marked symptoms may appear almost immediately, usually not later than one hour, and "with large doses death is almost instantaneous." Death usually occurs within 2 to 6 hours in fatal poisoning (20 to 40 mL of tincture may prove fatal).[13] The initial signs are gastrointestinal including nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. There is followed by a sensation of burning, tingling, and numbness in the mouth and face, and of burning in the abdomen. In severe poisonings pronounced motor weakness occurs and cutaneous sensations of tingling and numbness spread to the limbs. Cardiovascular features include hypotension, bradycardia, sinus tachycardia, and ventricular arrhythmias. Other features may include sweating, dizziness, difficulty in breathing, headache, and confusion. The main causes of death are ventricular arrhythmias and asystole, paralysis of the heart or of the respiratory center.[14][13] The only post-mortem signs are those of asphyxia."
That being said, if he poisons Brock with the plant, why is the Ricin Cig missing?
This guy...
This post is the first thing I thought of when the + Show Spoiler +
"it wasn't ricin"
scene happened. Holy balls the guy who put this together is pretty awesome.
I thought the last episode was incredible. Just the right amount of suspense, action, "wtf," and not too heavy on the cliffhanger. Can't wait for season 5.
The way they portrayed Gus's death was amazing, especially if you look at it symbolically. Here is a man who defeated an entire cartel, nearly single-handedly. He is obviously deemed a powerful figure, and the ability to walk out of the blast radius fixing his tie, meaning 'business completed' as it was his objective to kill Tio, is insane.

I think Walt gave her the 25k, if I recall correctly walt crawled out of his own home with the money in his pockets, and then it switched to Saul walking in on Jesse in prison. Either that or Jesse had Saul's new number, which I doubt, since he ment to disappear.
Also the money was gone from Walt's pockets in every following scene.
So I think they couldn't be bothered showing Walt going back to the woman to give the 25k and get the number
How did Gus know not to go to his car when the bomb was under it? Why did they show a quick glimpse of the necklace wrapped around the rear view mirror?

Probably cause Gus didn't poison the kid and Jesse saying so tipped him off to shenanigans.

Gus didn't poison the kid, but Jessie implied he did it to his face. This set of Gus' alarm, he knew something was up. If he knew it was part of Walt's plan or not, I don't know, but for a man that cautious it was not out of character at all.
As for the necklace, it was obvious implication that it wasn't over yet, that Walt was still being watched by someone from the organization. Foreshadowing of things to come.

Such a good finale... Looks like there's not start date for the next and final season, except that filming begins early 2012. Hopefully it starts in march instead of july, I can't wait.
