So.. are there any hidden predictions in the HotU scenes from the show, too? About things that didn't even happen yet in the books? Think about it. The throne room in King's Landing, utterly destroyed, snow falling everywhere.. What if that really happens? Winter is only just beginning in the books, and it's entirely possible that the dragons will (finally) be involved with stuff happening in Westeros. And it's entirely possible that they attack King's Landing, destroying half the city.. How awesome would it be if there's some hidden meanings behind those scenes?
I think so. Personally, I feel as though the snow in the throne room means either two things. 1) A stark (or John Snow) eventually sits the Iron Throne, or 2) winter (with or without white walkers) overcomes the ream entirely. As for Dany, I predict that the vision foreshadows her destiny outside of the wall. Seems to me that she dies beyond the wall, and the hut with Drogo and her kid symbolizes her resting in peace.

I agree, I don't know how they could have adapted the HotU scene exactly as it was in the books without over-forshadowing (almost giving stuff away like the red wedding). There were a lot more dream sequences and strong imagery in the book so I didn't put too much weight on the stuff in the HotU. But the series has been much more "realistic" in that regard so anything they show would really stand out.
I've heard a bit of speculation on the throne room scene. Most people just take it as a general "winter is coming". However, one of my favorite interpretations is "Snow on the throne" :D

Ok, assuming season 3 is 1/2 of ASoS, I say season finally is red wedding.

I think RW is def going to be in season 3. I would even bet that Jofferys wedding will be the finale because if they end the season with Robb/Cat dead and Joffery alive I think a lot of people will stop watching the show.

I assume you mean Rob, don't you?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it really looked like Stannis was captured at the end of episode 9, and then suddenly he's back on Dragonstone? Did I miss something?

He was being dragged back by his own men after the battle had been clearly lost.

Theon's speech was awesome. Fitting conclusion. Jaqen was awesome. ``After all the things you've seen, this is your question?'' Brienne's absolutely badass. Tyrion+Shae romance is preferable to GRRM's hand at romance. Drogo is still the boss. Jon's story has finally reached the awesome zone.
I think Ramin Diawadi's pulling the most weight. Awesome soundtrack when applied to the right scenes.
Definitely worth noting; he stepped it up this season. Last season I felt the soundtrack could have improved and relied too much on a few themes.

Even if that's the case, he's now on a wall with Tywin and the Tyrells between him and his ships. It seems ridiculous that he would escape that.

everything about this story is ridiculous, thats why its called fantasy.

You couldn't see the positions clearly enough to say that actually. Armies are a lot bigger than they seem here, and there was a lot of Stannis' army still alive. People don't realize that during most actual battles, especially before the 20th century, the VAST majority of both forces are still alive after the battle is done, the losers having retreated, fled, or being taken prisonners. It's not like Stannis was the only guy alive with 50 chaps.

I really dislike the ending with Sam alone in the snow in the middle of the giant wight army. The wights themselves are really good, but how can Sam be realisticly alive after that? In the books, the white walkers killed everyone on sight, no useless gloating, no "I could do it now but I won't yet". The only way it can be solved is the entire wight army will walk past him, with a single Other staying to finish him off, and Sam will conveniently kill him with the dragonglass dagger. As much as I like the way the Night Watch is shown in the series, that just feels... lame.

What do you guys think Stannis seen in the flame?
Do you think he seen the white walkers or the wildling host? I have no idea otherwise. I know in the book he didn't know about what was happening at the wall until the wildling attack.
Thinking of Stannis... why didn't they have a Davos scene? I guess all the TV viewers just assume he's dead now. I guess they can do that scene in season 3.

For all we know he is dead in the TV show now. With them changing how the Bran/Rickon stories are going (they are leaving Winterfell together) it may be that Davos is gone for good.

They did let one of the nights watch guys in the prologue live (both in the book and on the show), so it is not without precedence.

Also, not finding out he is alive until next season would be consistent with the books. If I remember correctly, the first time we know he is alive is during his first chapter in aSoS when he is stranded on the rock.
