also, i generally dislike this whole 3d trend. im pretty sure this will also contain useless distracting 3d-showoff scenes. they are making everything to look like the trailer for a video game althought i might be biased against 3d since the only two 3d movies i saw so far were both bad (alice and avatar) although "bad" is a severe understatement in the case of "avatar". it was an abomination | ||

This is the same issue with the Charlie and Chocolate Factory. People can't get over their nostalgia for older flick. I liked them both and the newer one was more faithful to the source material anyway. I will see this movie as cheaply as possible and enjoy it for it's own merits. K thnx bai | ||

i don't mean that in any racist way, it's just that shit dudes, conan is cimmerian. he dont look like no mascara wearing arab warrior. it's wrong, just saying it other than that, first movie is completely fucking awesome. i watch it at least once a year. of course the acting is quite bad but that's not really the point. the conan universe IS the most bad ass fantasy stuff ever made and that film actually captures that well, even with bad actors. | ||

They should instead make a "Conan's grandchildren" movie where Arnie can be an old Conan to introduce new characters. That way the color of their skin doesnt matter really since it is 30 years later and Conan might even have gotten a tan and muscles arent needed that much since he is older (but wiser and still respected). I think that solution would solve several problems at once. | ||

edit: i hope that 3d doesn't become "standart" in the next years, I think it really adds nothing to movies and to me it seems, that if they do 3d movies they think they can put less emphasis on story etc. because the visuals are "impressive".... | ||
