Okay , i have lurked around TL long enough and never even heard a mention of this manga.

Summary - He awakens. For 820 years he has slumbered with no knowledge of mankind's advancements and scientific achievments. The land which he once knew has become an unfamiliar place with new technologies, attitudes, and lifestyles.
Cadis Etrama Di Raizel, Rai, while seeking to familiarize himself with this era, somehow locates a loyal servant of his, Frankenstein, who is currently the principal of a South Korean high school. Rai decides that this high school would be the perfect place to help him learn about the new world. He enrolls, and suddenly becomes the friend of Shinwoo, an immature teenager who is also a master martial artist. But this new world is no safer than the old, and the dignified, bewildered, technologically illiterate Rai finds himself caught up in adventures both ridiculous and dangerous.
What got me hooked - Starts off as a light hearted comedy and then turns into a really thrilling action adventure ride with a very good plot .. and the two main characters are giant badasses.

The recent arc has come to a conclusion + Show Spoiler +with Rai finding the message left to him by the previous lord.
The story is simple, and easy to follow but there are a lot of hints still unresolved.
It's a fun story, art is good and it's in FULL color. more people should start reading this manga.

Noblesse is actually one of the best mangas out there in my opinion. I usually cannot stand manga's because the stories are extremely predictable and they are filled with tons of bullshit that makes them unbearable. But noblesse generally has none of that shit. I agree with the op that it has light hearted comedy but it is also one of few mangas where the secondary characters have more development than the main character (really it seems as if Rai has not changed at all since awakening). It is also set in a badass world where everything from genetically engineered humans to vampires with badass weapons exist.

I never realized anyone ever made a teamliquid post about this manga. I like this just as much as one piece and bleach actually a lot more because stuff actually happens! Next arc will get good. And maybe we will get some incite on why being noblesse sucks.

I agree with pretty much everything said so far.
A good manga (not that I read a lot of them really lol) that still has a long ways to go, since a lot of stuff is still unresolved like johann said. It may start off a little slow, but then picks up quickly. I remember staying up till four in the morning to get caught up to where it currently was, even with work the next day.
Also, +1 for the main characters being completely badass.
My only complaint is the powers are somewhat cliche in some cases, but if that is it I can live with it lol. It didn't really take off in the direction I wanted, and I think that is really cool. I'd recommend reading it as well

another draw is the characterization, particularly in relation to Frankenstein.
+ Show Spoiler +turns out he's a Human, that has through experimentation gained power equal to that of a Noble clan leader, yet he still acts cocky, humble, caring, selfless, and selfish, sometimes all at the same time.
IMO he's a pretty great character, and one of the great draws to read this series.
plus, he's bishie.
Edit: and, somehow for a series to have a main character that almost never speaks and still end up this interesting is a pretty great achievement.

particularily Frankenstein is what seals the deal. His personality somewhat draws me in to read more. Can't wait to see how it develops im tempted to look at some of the raws from the authors page which is free to read

He did. I remember this came up when Doa and Moletrap were casting. They talked about the origin of the word and Moletrap (I think) said that he asked Noblesse and he replied saying "Noblesse.. Manhwa."
I really like this manhwa as well. The art reminds me of Bleach a bit.

Yeah I love this manhwa, really good. The storyline and the art is great, the characters are nice, not too easy to read, and the main character is really interesting (he says almost nothing).

Just read the whole thing in about 8 hours haha. I'm a big anime fan, but this was the first time I've ever read a manga (or manhwa, or whatever), but I have to say it's a lot more gripping than I thought it would be.

I'll give it a thumbs up, but the characters are terribly constructed. 80 some chapters in and all of the characters are completely one dimensional. There are characters that do change, but their character development is so nonsensical that it hurts the brain.

I just read trough the whole, quite good actually... It picks up after a while, after the quite slow start.

Looks good, but I can't read it since the author is in love with the dramatic pauses.
Whether it's panoramas, shocked expressions, doors and windows opening and closing, or just the main character standing there blankly, the author knows how to stop things in their tracks. If there is a way to keep the story from progressing, he will find it.

I enjoy it, but I wouldn't really be able to dispute any haters because Noblesse does have problems. Besides the characters and slow story movement the main character and side kick have never faced a real threat it's just each arc "oh they're that strong I did not know that" "Oh they're even stronger than that I did not know that" etc etc.

maybe you've seen too much of the unoriginal "weak protagonist trains to defeat the evil threatening what he loves" and assuming that rai should be challenged when at this point in the manwha it's made pretty clear that he's the strongest noble by a long shot?
it has its weaknesses but this isn't naruto or dragon ball z or some shit and i don't really want it to be.

Well there is no tension when he can mind control everyone and it has also taken 200 chapters to get to the point where he has to fight seriously but at least the other fights are entertaining.

Don't know why some people hate it, the story is pretty sweet. But then again, I am a sucker for great plots, I don't really care about character development that much. Read all the current chapters in two days. I really hope it shifts to the group dealing with the werewolves (<3 M - 21) now and having Dr. Crombell and etc like the last stage.

I just like it because the art is well drawn, and it's in FULL COLOR. I don't know why it makes such a huge difference but it does.
I think it's at the happy medium in between bnw manga and comics like marvel and dc.

I think the main reason I enjoy this manhwa so much is simply because our protagonist here is the epitome of what a vampire (noble) should be. Graceful elegant serious but not without his lighter side and absurdly powerful.

i have just finished reading the whole manga within a week's time. my overview of it
- while the beginning starts off a bit slow, and the drawing rather unique, panels leading all the way down, you'll get used to it. the beginning art is quite strange and looks as if the artist was drawing for 2D games made in the 90's but this stops once the plot starts going.
- the plot essentially is the reverse of what most manga's are. the main characters are already the strongest which leads to them telling a story about their past and unconvering their new future.
- every plot has relevance into the future some how (you'll have to read to figure this out)
- the humor is actually funny. unlike one piece which is'nt funny to me at all, the humor is based on awkward situations or someone who just doesn't get it, so most of the jokes aren't try hard and actually hits.

I don't like the drawings the male lead looks like a bitch and overall it seems girly. And wtf the guy saying one piece isn't funny!

don't mistake a shitty anime like vampire knight for noblesse. no it's not about 1 good looking guy and his looks essentially establishing the whole plot, not even close. every ark goes deeper and deeper into their past. and yes one piece humor still sucks dick. i laughed probably at 4 chapters out of the 500+ they have.

This manhwa is amazing. My girlfriend kept bugging me to read it, and I'm glad that I finally did. The best part about this great shounen manga is the humour in every chapter. Like actual laughing out loud panels, which is unfortunately not that common in typical shounen mangas.
Another good manhwa is Girl The Wild's. Really messed up Engrish, but a very high quality manhwa. The manga is based around a huge nation-wide MMA circuit for youths, and the protagonist is a guy who enrols in an all-girls high school where the current champion goes to school at. Obviously hilarity and awesomeness ensue

Girl the Wild's is also great but the mopey, weak protagonist trope was a little over-done with how long it took (probably 40 chapters) for him to get any self-confidence..

Magician is top notch a specially for art, i would say by art itself it blows everything. The rest is not as good but still v good webtoon.

i was rereading the earlier chapters to recap on m-24's first appearance and realised that the writer has improved in his drawing since the start of the manga.

What is he reading with such focus? end of chapter, "Gaming for Idiots" I know its been done over and over again but it makes me laugh each time. I hope they fix M-24 and not kill him off again. What I really hope is for Han Shinwoo to get modify and part of the Ra's Knight or at least have a bigger role then getting beat up and his memory erased.

Hmph. This smells suspiciously like the beginnings of a rushed and/or poorly planned ending. The authors (both writer and artist) recently started a new project. Perhaps they feel that this story has dragged on long enough, and now is time to abandon it quickly.

Reading through chapter 259 took me 5x longer than usual... Nothing to do with the story, no. It was the fact I couldn't make it past Seira's legs in that battle.

This manhwa is losing its flavor for my taste quite a bit. Every arc seems to go the same. Might drop it soon, it can't really compare to Tower of God and such.

I wouldn't like it that much if it changed ,it's awesome as it is. (Though you're right, the elder arcs are very trivial, I don't mind much though ^.^)
I assume it's gonna be different after the 6 week break though

I'd like to see a few more twists to the series. Like absalom86 said, I feel like it is going a bit stale. I still read it religiously but there are chapters that I find boring.

I still read it because it has good payoffs but ToG/Magician/The Breaker: New Waves are my top 3 right now. Even Kubera is currently better. Girls of the Wilds on break but that goes above this too. God of High School kinda got weak lately.

I think it could've used a break and maybe a new "season" like the Breaker because tbh the whole thing kind of drags on and blends together in my head. Pretty fun read every week though. They have another work called "Ability" that's a lot more fresh imo and could have had more potential than Noblesse if the protagonist wasn't so stereotypically shounen.

I never understood why people come to forums to discuss a manga/comic/book/ when they have only read each chapter once.
Like in the naruto discussion forum. Entire debates happen, because people have forgotten information given in chapters released years ago. And most of the time, it's not even hidden info, but how stuff in general works(like what nature elements the Uchiha clan posess).

I'm just saying I can see how people could lose interest because there's no real overarching plot to keep reading for. It's pretty much been a standard bigger bad guy who was pulling the strings behind the previous bad guy for close to 300 chapters (with pretty damn good art- one of the main reasons i kept up with it). Also doesn't help that Rai pretty much busts them out of almost every serious predicament so it's somewhat disappointing when they build up these villains and then lolwtfbloodfieldowned.
I really hope there isn't another organization behind the Elders but who knows.

I believe they explained it at the last chapter of Ability.
Ability is going on a hiatus for a new story arch. And Noblesse was going on a small hiatus, but will be back.
Not completely sure though.

Gotta say, this manga is amazing. I'm on chapter 266 now, still as exciting as it was when I was on chapter 1! Only thing I wish they did more of was having the children involved. + Show Spoiler +We had them involved in the first two seasons and after that, we barely see them. I can understand the reasoning of it and at least, we have much more characters now so it's not too bad.

Yes I am still reading and still loving it! It's very different when it's one chapter at a time though. It's much better when you go through like 20 or 30, you get a better sense of the story.
