Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book. |

lol i just wanna comment that part in the comics occurred similarly (well at least maggys dialogue) but glenn's lines made it totally go down differently.
iirc wasn't it like like glenn " wish i could have sex more b4 i die", maggy "wanna fuck me?", glenn "sure"
i just thought it was funny. thus far though till felt ep.3 was the ebst in s2

COMIC SPOILER reader beware: + Show Spoiler +I want the show to speed up to the part where Lorie gets blasted apart. That isn't happening fast enough. Also disappointed in some of the new characters simply not being as interesting as the comic versions.
otherwise, this season is going pretty good. Much better than the travesty of the first season.
And someone said "what the doctor whispered to rick" being that Lorrie is preggers? that doesn't make any sense. I'm 100% sure that what he whispered was what relates to the comic, that:
BOOK SPOILER: + Show Spoiler +They are all infected, and when a person dies regularly, they become a zombie. We haven't seen anyone die naturally yet, so I think that is still on the table, and will be revealed by seasons end. They revealed it at the prison in the comic. and there is no way that guy spent his hours in the CDC without figuring that out. Though if you are an idiot and can't figure out if it is a virus or not he may not know anything about science in general.

  Why wouldn't it make sense?
He demanded blood samples from them all, he'd know.

The latest episode sadly will be the last that I will watch of this show. I absolutely fail to understand how you decide to absolutely destroy an immensely popular, succesful and prizewinning storyline and characterpool instead of just translating it into a series. Why do they have to change EVERYTHING from characters to important events .
Because the comic gets to jump ahead, doesn't need as much dialog, and can show more emotion in a shorter amount of time through the way the images are drawn. With a TV show you wouldn't be as willing to fill in the gaps as you are with the comic.
To put it in perspective, I'd say the total time it took me to read all the comics is already less than the total running length of the TV series.

That sex scene was strange too I thought. They're in an abandoned town, have no real idea if there are any zombies around, and without checking or anything decide that's the best place to fuck. Weird.
Overall I enjoyed the episode, but the show definitely feels weaker without Frank Darabout. From what I've read he was around for filming the first 8 episodes, but only for editing the first. So he still would have very much been a part of what you're seeing, just to a lesser extent. But yeah, it does feel like it has gotten even worse in the episodes that he had no editorial control over.

I am SOOO dissapointed with the season so far. Season 1 was epic and a true "zombie" show. This season is useless dialoge and sitting in a random farmhouse. Exciting

Question. How these zombies(walkers) spread the the virus? By having sex with the dead target? Cause they are rolling in zombie blood ( mixing it up with their own ) and not getting anything.
This show makes me rage. Only sticking with it cause of the zombies. But will prob drop it if it goes on like the 2nd season.

Three reasons: First off - If you can't tell if whats causing the zombies is a virus, bacteria or fungi, you should have any scientific qualifications revoked. So it is safe to asume there's no way he could even perform the test if he can't even figure out how to use a microscope.
More realisticlly: It takes at the very least a week if not more for the pregnancy hormones to build up in the blood, and Shane/Lorie only had sex a few days prior.
Thirdly: even if that is what he said, it is not in Rick's character to not tell Lorie about it. In that there is no reason she would need to get a pregnancy test at all if Rick knew.

Doesnt sound rational. That Jim guy died from a bite mark on his stomach, while T-dog got his crazy car-window mega wound, mixed it up with some zombie blood and is still just dandy.

To answer that: BOOK SPOILER: + Show Spoiler + The Zombie's Bites and Scratches do something which will kill you, which in the end makes you a zombie. Think of it like some kinda poision. The point is the Bites/Scratches don't turn you, they just kill you. The act of death turns you into a zombie no matter which way. So mixing up a bit of zombie blood in the wound wouldn't turn him nor really kill him. Frequently in the comic they cut off limbs to avoid the dieing part, and people can go on living.

That's a spoiler even though you did not specify exactly what. Please edit out if I'm correct in my suspicion. that knowledge is probably based on the comic, but in the beginning of the most recent episode, Rick brought up the barn briefly and Hershel's response was suspicious. I don't see how "No, better you stay near the house" is suspicious. Though after him saying they should all leave and then going "If you obey my rules you can stay", I'm very wary about the farm people. It seems like they're hiding something, which the whole you guys going "there's something in the barn" kind of confirms. If I had to guess based on the girl's reaction to the black dude killing the zombie, I'd say they have them locked up in there for some queer reason. Well given the amount of emphasis he puts on god, and if they really do have zombies in the barn, I would say the reason behind it is something along the lines of "This is the Apocalypse and god will fix them when he returns, therefore we need to keep them alive/safe until then". As a bonus, they may even have been capturing travelers and feeding them to the zombies inside the barn before this. Though that's a pretty big stretch at this point.

Seeing as when they had the map open and were talking about what they'd do if Sophia was a walker they said end it quickly and the girl gave farmer vet a look and he shook his head i think you're on to something here!
Oh and i enjoyed this episode, first off i loved Daryls exploration of the house, tense moment and makes you wonder who ate that can of x and slept there. And i started to like Glenn now, i found myself cheering for him in the pharmacy
Well scene was soso i guess, i had a thought in the middle of it, fat zombie after Ortis funeral hm.. so i thought wait.. what if its Ortis just not recognizable right now.. and they'll see its him.. and see that he's shot in the leg.. then he got ripped in half Hopefully Ortis zombie stumbles upon them somehow with a gunwound in the leg ^^
And whenever the episodes aren't full of plotholes or teleportating women in a forest with freaking Metal Gear Solid Zombies hiding behind tree's and shit, i really do enjoy them. Good episode for me!

+ Show Spoiler [Comic] +The zombies are bacteria-infested, disease-ridden walking, rotting corpses. It isn't poison, you just die from the resulting infection after the bite.
Other than that, you're right, the bite doesn't turn you, the the virus/infection, whatever has already spread through the population through some other means, and everyone turns regardless of the way they die.

so my memory is sorta hazy from the CDC, but did they ever establish in the show if zombies can die without being shot? like do they starve to death? or are these crazy immortal zombies like in dawn of the dead? cuz that well zombie must of been there for a long-ass time with no food (or that one that hung himself).

I don't think they discussed how long they remain undead, considering it had only been like a few months since the epidemic happened or whatever I don't think they could come to know for sure anyways. From what I remember Jenner only talked about how there was no cure, no hope for a cure, and showed how people are reanimated.
