WTF ???? So, they weren't being followed when the group got in, and then for some reasons there's a tightly packed horde attacking them in the middle of the night. Ok, I can make sense of that, let's say the light of the fire lit with damped wood in an old barn attracted them. Ok, I'm cool with that. So yeah, daryl holds them, without calling for help, then the rest of the group comes in. Cool, just like Glenn (I think) said, the can make it together, but they can only make it together. There's even some tension, as we see them struggling to keep the door shut. Who knows what will happen, how can they make it through the night ? Probably not by doing this all night, they are starved and tired. So something's got to happen right ?
And on this fine sunny morning Maggie woke up, and Daryl gave her a fixed music box, and it was good...
NO ! JUST NO ! At this point I couldn't even tell if what happened that night was actually one of maggie's bad dream. It makes no sense, serves no purpose, and it's to me the stupidiest shit this show ever pulled of, and I rewatched season 2 not that long ago...
I think the whole scene was just a poor metaphor showing that they need to work together to stop the evil (zombies). They kept quiet because they understand each other and know what needs to be done to survive. The storm symbolizes bad time and sunny morning/music box tells us that there is hope for a better world. I'm guessing that's what writer(s) indended to tell us.

They can't find water. In the middle of summer. In Virginia. In actual swampland / deciduous forestland. The place where it rains once a week. Get the fuck out of here.
Edit: COBRA stole the water.
Wait, aren't they in Columbia? I swear they've been talking about going to Washington forever and I assumed that'd mean Washing, D. C.

Oh my, I'm so oblivious to US states... I thought Washington (state) was on the east coast and Washington (D. C.) was much further inland...

Washington state is in the far northwest, about 3,000 miles away from the group's location.

Never mind the fact that a Tornado would not leave such a fine line of damage, at that close of a range that Barn would have been obliterated if not heavily damaged.

I thought the Zombie attack was juts Maggie dreaming, while she was hearing the Zombie and Storm noises.

I think it was supposed to seem like a "miracle" playing off the priest and Maggie talking about how they basically lost their faith. The episode was full as shit with metaphor a lot of which probably won't fully make sense until the end of the season'ish.
The zombies being death and the storm being the evil shit they have to do (or stand idly by while they watch it happen [basically all the insanity that is surviving in that world]) to stave off death. The next morning representing hope and a new dawn, and the possibility that things can get better if they just keep working together (and finding the balance between what they want to do and what they need to do).
It extends onto the road and the first rains too but I don't really want to breakdown the whole episode.

Sasha is becoming annoying but the reigning champ is still Maggie.

That's what she's called? Why did I think it was Rashonda?

Probably a matter of not caring too much about this show anymore. I can name any hedgeknight and peasant that has ever been named in ASoIaF and just about any character who's ever appeared on Seinfeld.

So the Walking Dead spinoff has finished shooting the Pilot episode, yet the series has yet to be picked up.

I'm interested to see if they will break my expectation of 6 good episodes per season. First half of this season was pretty solid, but it's starting to teeter off imo.

It would be a boring show if Alexandria was the real deal. So what's wrong with it? A trap to capture their equipment and supplies? Cannibals again? Some dark secret like with the Governor? Is it abandoned except for Aaron and Eric? Some barbaric social system? Will it be overrun?

they could have started midseason with this episode
