He won because, as he said, he had his cake and ate it, too.
That episode was about South Park getting away with being offensive, and how it was time to change to being more PC.
Now Cartman showed that he could be offensive, whilst stilling patting himself on the back for being PC by using stereotypes and comedy.

"Is he... Is he seriously giving a speech right now? Is he seriously giving a speech right now?"
Fcking ded. Cartmans been killing it lately.

Also i still don't know who caytlin jenner is from context i gather that she is a transgender celebrity who killed someone in a car accident?
Guess the cosby jokes will be a running gag this season they are kinda growing on me....
For me two okay episodes so far hope this season will have some gems like last seasons fremium and cock magic episodes.
I do have to admit i like it when the episodes are connected like randy acting all PC and PC principal still being around. I wonder how/when they will get rid of PC principal since he doesn't seem like a character who stays around forever. Caitlin jenner is Kylie and Kendal Jenners father the ex track and field star or something? Was on the reality show the Khardashians, then he randomly splits up from his wife on the show. Then no one hears anything and 6 months later he comes out as a full operated transgender at the age of like 50 something. That the basis, oh and the PC thing is because i think it was Tom Cruise's son? or something posted on twitter something like he doesn't think caitlin is a hero or something and got shit on by the whole world etc. Then you get the picture
Episode 2 much better than 1st for me, Donald Trump bit made me lol. Still don't even get all the jokes though, still very funny.
edit: on the car running people over bit i think its a stab at "he can do anything he wants and still be dubbed a hero, get away with it"

Every Piece of media in wich donald trump gets f***ed to death is a good pice of media, no mather what

Damn the third episode was awful, first time I've watched a whole episode without finding anything remotely funny.

Felt the same after watching. But seeing lots of friends from the US and American people on different messageboards disagreeing on that, I'd assume I just didn't get the references.
But I definitely prefer the first two episodes. Especially the second one was hilarious.

I still got very high hopes for this season, hope the next ones will be funnier.

I thought it was a dumb episode in a pretty bad season. South Park's attempts at social commentary have been incredibly shallow this season. "fat people don't know they're fat, they're dumb and delusional, let's laugh at them".
It ignores the broader issue that online harassment goes far beyond simply giving opinions, people get predatory and stalky on the internet in a way that would be unquestionably unacceptable anywhere else. I don't know if this #safespace thing actually exists but dismissing the kind of predatory behaviour online as just "Vin Diesel doesn't want people calling him dumb lol" is idiotic.

Or maybe a more plausible reason is that you just don't understand what the true message has been all season? Oh no, that's just silly isn't it. Obviously you're way smarter than Trey and Matt lol

If you have a point please make it.

Dunning and Kruger want to have a word with you :D. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunning–Kruger_effect
I would also guess that the demographic that watches south park on a regular basis is pretty smart compared to the average.

Well, I guess you could enlighten us as to what was the point they were trying to make with this episode.

I'm not sure you understand the link, although at this point it's pretty much become a meme circulated blindly through the internet. It does not imply that people who are intelligent are incapable of recognizing it. I have years of results to back up my conclusion whereas the people studied in the link misjudged their ability precisely because they were unfamiliar with the results. Once they received minimal training they were better able to judge their ability.
The fact that I'm having to explain what the Dunning-Kruger study actually found to you is pretty ironic.

Worst episode of the season by far imo. No really funny parts that didn't just make me smile. Not too worried about it though I still look forward to the next episode.

The #safespace is another play on the incessant baby-ing of the SJW community. If you browse r/tumblrinaction for an hour or so you'll probably have a deeper appreciation for the latest episode.
It's not going to blow anyone's minds, it's not a particularly intelligent or biting piece of social commentary.
The smartest part of the episode was interweaving the two storylines of Cartman and Randy and outsourcing shame filtering to the third world.
I still enjoyed it. Subtlety is not exactly South Park's strong suit.

While obviously every movement has some lunatics I think dismissing people who want to avoid online harassment as trying to avoid reality is absurd. I know rapists exist in reality, I still like to surround myself in a bubble with no rapists in it, even if that bubble isn't a fair representation of reality. It's not about delusion or being unable or unwilling to deal with reality. A lot of people online, particularly, although not exclusively, the groups SJWs tend to love get treated in a way that would be completely unacceptable through any medium but online.
It's not the people going to the safe spaces who think harassment isn't real. They know exactly how real it is, they suffer from it. It's the pathetic assholes abusing them who think that because they do it online it's somehow not real and therefore okay.
Again none of this is applicable to the "I'm fat and posted that I was ripped and someone disagreed" straw man South Park created. It's just the straw man was such an incredible misrepresentation of the issue that it made the entire audience dumber.
