I wouldn't say it's horrible but I definitely think people are overrating this one. I'm especially surprised that TL seems to like it, normally this site nickpicks every show to hell.
I'd rank this season just slightly under the last two. So a mid-tier season all in all. I commend them on at least trying something new with the continuity throughout the season even though I don't think it turned out that well in the end.
The season was standard hit and miss as usual for South Park. After all these years though, that's a lot more than I can say for some shows.
I think they're a bit all over the place with their references, it feels like they're trying too hard to be funny. They're really milking the Lorde joke. I enjoy watching the show, but it's nowhere near as brilliant as the show used to be.
Some of the episodes were great, I just died watching Cock Magic. The over story arch of the season felt weird to me. Also yes the Lorde thing got old after 2 episodes.
Last episode was by far the worst episode, didn't have any laugh out loud moments but I did enjoy how they went back to a lot of past jokes and things came full circle with pewdiepie.
This season has been absolute gold though every single episode back to back ever since the big GoT triple feature.
The last episode was definitely not as funny but it was far from being the worst. I think it was one of the most well thought-out of the entire series. Definitely in the top 10 with the point they were trying to prove.

Really missed this show kinda excited to see which issues they pick up this time around. (don't think they will make fun of trump since he is such an easy target and they kinda covert that with their previous vote or die episode all ready)

Ok i got very confused with how the 1st episode ended lol. I know the Brady situation and i can understand most of what was going on. But the way it ended completely fkd with my head lol xd

The only things I could think was that he got Kyle to go back on what he said, and Kyle got treated like he was equally as bad as Cartman when he didn't do anything wrong.
It didn't seem like he won against PC Principal, but I'm hoping that will just be a longer story arc, and they will beat him in a later episode.
Hm so they did decide to do a trump bashing episode, guess it was ok but the immigration thing fell kinda short and would've been more interesting.
Also i still don't know who caytlin jenner is from context i gather that she is a transgender celebrity who killed someone in a car accident?
Guess the cosby jokes will be a running gag this season they are kinda growing on me....
For me two okay episodes so far hope this season will have some gems like last seasons fremium and cock magic episodes.
I do have to admit i like it when the episodes are connected like randy acting all PC and PC principal still being around. I wonder how/when they will get rid of PC principal since he doesn't seem like a character who stays around forever.
