man, im still not sure if EG making it to winner bracket is more deserved than EHOME, Tong Fu or even CLG.... Wut. They all played the same amount of games, vs the same teams, the same amount of times. EG has a better record, therefore they are ranked higher. What is hard to understand about is?
Not EHOME or TongFu, they got the harder group and would probally take EG's spot if they, for example, switched Mouz with one of them. EG vs CLG is pretty close to be honest. Not always the best team wins, in this case I guess he believes that happened. I'm not so sure, I feel both teams are on the same level and wouldn't really care either way.
It's still all predictions and feelings, not math, so there isn't really anything to understand?

TF will get to play EG soon enough. CLG already lost twice. EHome probably won't have a shot against EG. But really, playing against iG in the Winner's Bracket isn't that much better than going to the Loser's directly.
It is, you drop to the lower's bracket one round ahead of the bottom teams and thus have better odds to get a better prize.

Maelk? Maelk has a ton of LAN experience. It'll be good for Universe and BuLba, to the extent that getting the crap stomped out of you in front of a huge audience on a very expensive stage can be good. But Maelk is one of the longest-tenured players in the scene right now. He might have the most LAN experience of any non-Asian at the International.

Put a hot white girl in LGD and ig booth and watch their performance dropping like a rock.

They'll still win 1 handed

hahaha according to Ferrari.430's interview EG pulled some strings and got some people to go over to iG to try and convince them to pick Zenith instead of them :p
iG flat out refused though. ChuaN also said in his interview even before day 3 that they would pick clg/eg instead of zenith. Hopefully zenith repays iG's "faith" in them =)

does it have to be a white girl?

16 potential series in a day. And you thought 12 consecutive series during Prelim was long.
Valve must be hoping for some quick 2-0 from LGD/iG and some 10min gg from m5 so that they don't finish after midnight.

They ended up 3-11, but they took games off Orange, Ehome and mTw, while m5 and mouz got 1 win each by defeating each other and took 1 game each off AL. Darer had a much harder group and manage to actually do something against respected teams, while Mouz and M5 were a joke the whole tournament. For a team that wasn't playing well at all so far, they did better than I expected.
I'm not sure PB or specially Quantic could do much better in that group.
Speaking of LAN experience, have Col actually played on LAN before? I don't remember them or Fire in any major lan event. I agree, Darer had a lot of good games and they played really well.

Damn it, so many games to watch lol. I guess I'm skipping the LB rounds until Sunday.

Leaning on it. Because they're bored.

I think na`vi will have a decent chance placing high at this if they start pulling it together, playing like they did vs Tongfu and in their more recent matches.

TF hardly impressed that game tho compaired to some of the other chinese teams in the tournement. Think they need to step it up a lot more in order to beat DK

I'm a little disappointed by this TI It was good of course, but the day 1 was too long and the day 3 too short, I hope they'll learn from it for next year. I also hope they'll remove one break day and add one prelim day. Too many games at once, too long days, and after 3 intense gaming days I would not even be capable of mentioning a single good game I saw (but perhaps I'm alone on this). I already know the loser bracket will left a sour taste, but I also know the winner bracket will be awesome. Basically the first 4 rounds of the LR bracket are everything except 2 matches. I know a lot of the issues are because of logistic problems, but adding 1 to 3 days would make everything a lot better imo.
