They're also a team with zero LAN experience, which has a huge effect on a team's ability to perform. Even if they have better online results, I wouldn't expect PB to do better than m5/Darer/etc., given their lack of LAN experience. Darer possibly, but m5 has been an absolute joke as of late, their last win against a team with a sponsorship that wasn't all standin vp was almost 2 months ago. Col showing lan history isn't everything as well so far. coL is pretty clearly the exception rather than the rule.
I still wouldn't bet on a zero offline experience team doing well at their first LAN, no matter how good their online performance is.

Yea they just added in more info
"Live coverage begins daily at 9:30AM PDT. Games are played in the order listed, with 10 minute breaks to change out teams."

games are being played 1 by one, caster being rotated to ensure they save their voices.
man, im still not sure if EG making it to winner bracket is more deserved than EHOME, Tong Fu or even CLG....

Did anyone find a description of the Championship match? How many games it is? Is there a winner's bracket advantage?
|
no, the only advantage is bo3 vs bo1 format... pretty sure the 1 bonus score has been removed out in most of the defense (as well as TI2 qualifier tournament) and most people do think its fair.
My current worried is the pictures of the venue aka theater.... Its kinda too main stream to get the excitement up isnt it? A place like that would make me wana put a suit and bowtie but casual clothes and some sick poster and screaming... Its like you dont play soccer inside an opera theater :-/

That seems like a terrible plan, since 4 x (2.5) + 4 is 14 games, with 10 minutes and everything running smoothly, the best case scenario involves the day ending at 10pm and the worst case scenarios involve the games ending.... never

I'm being picky, but to be fair the best case scenario would be 4x2+4= 12 games. Which is still ridiculous. It should easily pass 12 hours if the transition isn't completelly smooth, and possibly go far over that.

Ahh I see. There's a day-by-day schedule that shows the Championship to be a Bo5, probably with no Winner's Bracket advantage.
There's more than 14 games provisionally scheduled each day. There's at a minimum 12 to be played each of the first two days. The final day might have only 9.

It's going to be so good man! i can't wait

man, im still not sure if EG making it to winner bracket is more deserved than EHOME, Tong Fu or even CLG.... Wut. They all played the same amount of games, vs the same teams, the same amount of times. EG has a better record, therefore they are ranked higher. What is hard to understand about is?

They didn't play vs the same teams except for CLG, I think he means that group A is easier then group B
EG beat Zenith 2-0, that is enough for me to deserve a spot in the upper bracket.

TF will get to play EG soon enough. CLG already lost twice. EHome probably won't have a shot against EG. But really, playing against iG in the Winner's Bracket isn't that much better than going to the Loser's directly.
