Also, people need to start banning Morph!!.
i also recommend:
Mouz vs. Zenith (Game 2) - Mouz basically fooled around with a heavy gank line-up. Hilarity ensues

Ussually each english caster got a diferent game to cast and in very few cases there were multiple casters for the same game.

This is probally the easiest way to search for matches, there are no spoilers and it ussually direct you to the youtube VODs. Some VODs are still missing, but the main casters (LD/Draskyl/Tobi) already have all games they casted over there (I think).

Leaving in 6 hours!!

So the real fun starts on Friday, right?

NA comp dota scene finally alive again, 2 in ub and arguably the best 2 teams not at the international. Little doubt if invites were done today we would probably see some of those cis invites go to na teams.
|
Quantic and Potm bottom are top NA teams?
Never heard of that.

So col vs Zenith and Navi vs DK.
I feel like the way DK has been playing this tournament will really suit Navi well. Navi is probably best when they are holding tower and map advantage. DK has been kinda lacklustre in early game sometimes this tournament and often need to come back from behind while relying on Burning. That's harder to do against Navi than anyone else( maybe that's just their game plan though)
IG > EG. Easy 2-0 win probably. I just hope that EG won't try to do cheese push aoe strats anymore. Not gonna work against Chinese teams as proven on Day 1. If Fear and Bulba and Demon are on form and they got an early advantage like Darer did, i think EG should have more patience and late game understanding to capitalize. Not gonna be easy by any means though.
Zenith > Col 2-1. To be honest , if zenith is on form, it won't be close. But that's the thing with zenith, you never know which hyhy or ice are gonna show up.
Navi > DK 2-1. Just for the sake of spicing things up. If i were a betting man though, DK > Navi 2-1 with Dendi pudge taking game 1 and being banned the rest of the series.
LGD > Orange 2-0. If Orange wants to put any fight, Mushi and Yamateh need to be really on form. Winter has been playing well but ice hasn't been.
Both the 1 seeds should stomp, but zenith col should be close if both are on their game, col did have a better record in a far harder group(aruably 7 teams in group b were better than clg and arguably even eg)

They aren't top, but in the past few months they have been far better than we, mouz, m5, darer and al.
PB especially has done very well in the past few months against teams that are in the tournament.

They're also a team with zero LAN experience, which has a huge effect on a team's ability to perform.
Even if they have better online results, I wouldn't expect PB to do better than m5/Darer/etc., given their lack of LAN experience.

mTw was in the same position as PB when they acquired new roster. Some caster was calling such good results with a new roster "honeymoon period". So yeah, each time new team surfaces and beats medium to high level teams I'am reluctant to make calls such as "this team is better than A, B and C."
|
I actually don't think Darer played THAT badly on this tournament. They ended up 3-11, but they took games off Orange, Ehome and mTw, while m5 and mouz got 1 win each by defeating each other and took 1 game each off AL. Darer had a much harder group and manage to actually do something against respected teams, while Mouz and M5 were a joke the whole tournament. For a team that wasn't playing well at all so far, they did better than I expected.
I'm not sure PB or specially Quantic could do much better in that group.
Speaking of LAN experience, have Col actually played on LAN before? I don't remember them or Fire in any major lan event.

I would have to agree, even though im from noth america and love PB, I think they would be hard pressed to win more then a few games.
And darer did better then i thought they would, so did M5 to be honest... i didnt think they would win a single game.

darer played extremely well vs iG btw... personally i think they play vs asian teams way better than navi.
|
I thought AL did well too. Many people were calling them weakest team at the international but they showed they clearly are not. Them and Darer should be proud.
|
Yo, Zenith will beat Col so hard it won't be funny. And I think that Orange/LGD will be close, maybe a 2-0 for a team, but closes games. NaVi will lose and EG will pull specials taktiks but ultimately lose 2-1.

First LAN for coL afaik. But the thing that keeps them up, is that they have been stable team in the NA scene far longer than PB or Quantic, and EG for that matter. If PB got their form 1-2 months earlier they could have been into the qualification tournament, but they got a good form too late to get anything for TI2. But if they keep their form they'll be a heavy contender for TI3...

Darer possibly, but m5 has been an absolute joke as of late, their last win against a team with a sponsorship that wasn't all standin vp was almost 2 months ago.
Col showing lan history isn't everything as well so far.

Groups stages are still diferent than when the real tournament starts though. When they all get in that booth, in from of a huge crowd and playing for elimination with every team showing everything they have prepared for the tournament we will be able to tell if the lack of experience will affect them. Right now, they are basically in a room all by themselfs from what I could see from the pictures, it's hard to call that a real major LAN tournament.
