They had advantage in lanes from the start no matter what hero they ran, Lifestealer was gonna lose to OD and the tri-lane was gonna beat Dendi. Except to actually WIN that lane against dendi the supports would have to stay bottom 100% of the early game and meanwhile enigma is farming fast as shit. Slardar will eventually get pushed out by the puck and the fear of enigma + nyx ganks.
Dendi had like 6/6 cs at 10 mins, I seriously doubt he could beat a Slardar 3 levels ahead of him. Not to mention Puppey was already rotating without any ganks from Orange because Lifestealer was getting raped middle.

Valve not even giving a games advantage to winners bracket is fucked. No one likes game advantages. They make for fucking boring finals 80% of the time. Agreed. Disagreed. Well Alliance would play 2 games instead of 3 no big deal in this specific finals I wouldn't like that for the 1 game advantage. I think that it should be a Bo7 with Alliance having a 1 game advantage. That way we have 3-6 games, so only 1 more than now, with just 1 possibility for that. "No one likes advantages", well how about the advantage that Na'Vi is still in the tournament after losing a series? Explain to me how Orange got 3rd place after losing 6 games in prelims? Prelims? No one was eliminated in prelims. Even MUFC was in. Grasping to straws much? Teams were eliminated in the bracket, after losing twice. Everyone but Alliance, that is. Who did the best. This means that you give a disadvantage to the team who did the best. I can think of this as a qualifier for the grand finals, in which case I just think that this is a really really bad tournament format but at least won't be outright wrong. There is no disadvantage in starting series off with a 0-0. There is a disadvantage in not being able to lose a series.

Its the sign of a great team. The salty Orange fans are funny. Orange is a great team and played really well, but couldn't hold it together in the end. That had nothing to do with it. If they didn't deny the aegis Na'Vi lost, simple as that. Not true. The gold lead wasn't large at all. Experience was ~10k even though Orange had an over 10 kill advantage. The deny was definitely unfortunate, but Na'Vi showed greater composure and deserve it. Aegis is the best counter to BKBs. You heard what puppey said, focus the OD and the bane, ignore everyone else even if they get kills. What happens when OD has aegis and you blow your ults and BKBs on his first life? He comes back, ults your team, kills 2 or 3 of them, mops up the rest and takes your rax. OJ could have used their earlygame advantage gained by poor play by Na'vi and taken high ground with the aegis, but yeah. Missing the aegis means missing the timing push, which is the backbone of Orange's strategy and really crucial due to Navi's better lategame draft. Na'vi didn't do anything extraordinary to win, not like the epic fountain hooks against Tongfu, and even failed hard early game. This game is a pure throw by Orange, and the band of Navi fanboys denying this just shows that most of them don't know jack about dota and just like Navi because Dendi picks pudge once in a while. + Show Spoiler + I miss LOH and AA too. Still no reason to say Na'vi didn't do anything extraordinary. Orange were incredbily far ahead. 15-25k in both exp and gold. If it was so easy to execute a good teamfight, more people would pick enigma and bounty.
Come on man, basic dota analysis - you can't just look at the two heros in isolation. When you consider the drafts on both teams, it was pretty easy to get a good teamfight in once enough of Navi get BKBs. Orange almost made sure that didn't happen (also due to Navi's poor laning stage performance), but then denied the aegis.

The whole playoffs were not to pick the winner. It is to pick the top 2 teams who will play in a grand final. It's a 2 separate stage in the tournament.
So there are actually 3 stages in the tournament which is groupstage, playoff, grand finals. Each stage is separate.
Teams who did better in group stage didn't start with a 1-0 advantage in the playoff as well despite winning more games.
Is this serious?
Yeah, they didn't get a 1-0 advantage, they got a 2-0 advantage. They started in the upper bracket and other teams started in the lower bracket, the equivalent in the format of getting 2-0'd.
There was a huge advantage to doing well in the prelims, it's really weird that you try to make it sound like there wasn't.

Saying that, Alliance will probably win.
