Countered by the disadvantage of having to go through an extra series that Alliance didn't have to play. Breaks even.

Seriously, people underestimate how huge of that aegis deny did to the players mind, sea players are especially 'weak' in that department.

The whole playoffs were not to pick the winner. It is to pick the top 2 teams who will play in a grand final. It's a 2 separate stage in the tournament.
So there are actually 3 stages in the tournament which is groupstage, playoff, grand finals. Each stage is separate.
Teams who did better in group stage didn't start with a 1-0 advantage in the playoff as well despite winning more games.
Excellent mindset for this format. Agreed, would give + I can't change my mindset, I'm so used to CS format for which is really great, like 1 bo3 advantage for winner and when the ones coming from the loser bracket take the 2 bo3 it's such an epic win. Anyway I deal with it, I'm looking for good games

Natus Vincere Chaos Engaged, nothing new there. I have to go to Uni now and die a little inside not being able to catch the final, definitely gonna be lurking my phone and the LR thread all day

With the Aegis, Orange would have been in a much better position. Kyxy and ohaiyo would both get their Hex up. In general, they will all get further item progression. Navi doesn't have room to farm as fast. Majority of their items came from track gold.
I wouldn't count Orange out just because they only have an OD. Naix can get kited, and BH isn't that great damage wise unless Navi wins fights. Either way, OD ulti just rapes Puck/Nyx, and if Puppey never gets good Blackholes, Navi can never lock down OD well with all the pseudo disables Orange have.

Why the hell would they give them an advantage? that's just plain stupid because Na'Vi had to go losers bracket and win in the losers bracket, they have already been punished for losing in the winners bracket, why would they get another punishment in the final?

Just hope good aggresive dota in the grand final, and not boring plays

Well, then that weakness lost them the game. Better work on that.

Valve not even giving a games advantage to winners bracket is fucked. No one likes game advantages. They make for fucking boring finals 80% of the time. Agreed. Disagreed. Well Alliance would play 2 games instead of 3 no big deal in this specific finals I wouldn't like that for the 1 game advantage. I think that it should be a Bo7 with Alliance having a 1 game advantage. That way we have 3-6 games, so only 1 more than now, with just 1 possibility for that. "No one likes advantages", well how about the advantage that Na'Vi is still in the tournament after losing a series? Explain to me how Orange got 3rd place after losing 6 games in prelims? Prelims? No one was eliminated in prelims. Even MUFC was in. Grasping to straws much? Teams were eliminated in the bracket, after losing twice. Everyone but Alliance, that is. Who did the best. This means that you give a disadvantage to the team who did the best.
I can think of this as a qualifier for the grand finals, in which case I just think that this is a really really bad tournament format but at least won't be outright wrong.

If they didn't deny the aegis Na'Vi lost, simple as that. Not true. The gold lead wasn't large at all. Experience was ~10k even though Orange had an over 10 kill advantage. The deny was definitely unfortunate, but Na'Vi showed greater composure and deserve it. Aegis is the best counter to BKBs. You heard what puppey said, focus the OD and the bane, ignore everyone else even if they get kills. What happens when OD has aegis and you blow your ults and BKBs on his first life? He comes back, ults your team, kills 2 or 3 of them, mops up the rest and takes your rax. OJ could have used their earlygame advantage gained by poor play by Na'vi and taken high ground with the aegis, but yeah. Missing the aegis means missing the timing push, which is the backbone of Orange's strategy and really crucial due to Navi's better lategame draft. Na'vi didn't do anything extraordinary to win, not like the epic fountain hooks against Tongfu, and even failed hard early game. This game is a pure throw by Orange, and the band of Navi fanboys denying this just shows that most of them don't know jack about dota and just like Navi because Dendi picks pudge once in a while. + Show Spoiler +

Should have picked Slardar or another phys dps anti carry. ...? And then the whole game fucking changes because they have to defensive trilane and/or babysit the slardar all game instead of roaming with their 2 supports which was a big reason why they got that early game advantage. They had advantage in lanes from the start no matter what hero they ran, Lifestealer was gonna lose to OD and the tri-lane was gonna beat Dendi. Except to actually WIN that lane against dendi the supports would have to stay bottom 100% of the early game and meanwhile enigma is farming fast as shit. Slardar will eventually get pushed out by the puck and the fear of enigma + nyx ganks.
