Valve not even giving a games advantage to winners bracket is fucked. No one likes game advantages. They make for fucking boring finals 80% of the time. Agreed. Their advantage is that they don't have to play an extra set of matches like Na'Vi had to. That in itself is plenty of an advantage. it's not even an advantage that alliance played zero matches today. with the adrenaline and nervousness, navi is going to be fatigued going into this final.. navi got to release that and play what is essentially a warmup set. meanwhile alliance nervously sits in the green room, waiting for hours until they get to play their first game of the day with no practice. I don't know na vi kinda needs this adrenaline to play their best, however once alliance has an advantage they keep their grasp on it until the throne is down with well thought bb.

Na'Vi came from the WB final last year. They didn't complain. It is far far better than having a 2 games grand final due to a one game advantage.

The whole playoffs were not to pick the winner. It is to pick the top 2 teams who will play in a grand final. It's a 2 separate stage in the tournament.
So there are actually 3 stages in the tournament which is groupstage, playoff, grand finals. Each stage is separate.
Teams who did better in group stage didn't start with a 1-0 advantage in the playoff as well despite winning more games.
Excellent mindset for this format. yeah, what a smart post(not being sarcastic)

If Navi drafts better than yesterday, they still have a chance. It's not like they've never beat Alliance before and I doubt Orange would do that much better against them.

Tbh, TI3 is one of the toughest and tiresome tournaments in esports...5 straight days of high pressure games...most of them lasting at least half an hour not including the drafting phase.

"Anyone who disagrees with me is clearly a fanboy so I can dismiss their opinions" The game would have been about as bad. Orange had one damage dealer and everyone on Na'Vi were getting BKB's and frankly he was losing steam. Na'Vi had an overall better lineup and the gap wasn't that big to begin with. The aegis was embarrassing but it wouldn't have made a huge difference. Maybe one more half of a teamfight would have been in their favor. EDIT: KACI PLS ignore darkseid, every since this ti started he has been flaming na'vi and calling everyone who defends them a fanboy That is a long time to hate on a team. That takes some focus.

Well Alliance would play 2 games instead of 3 no big deal in this specific finals I wouldn't like that for the 1 game advantage. I think that it should be a Bo7 with Alliance having a 1 game advantage. That way we have 3-6 games, so only 1 more than now, with just 1 possibility for that. "No one likes advantages", well how about the advantage that Na'Vi is still in the tournament after losing a series? Explain to me how Orange got 3rd place after losing 6 games in prelims?

If they didn't deny the aegis Na'Vi lost, simple as that. Not true. The gold lead wasn't large at all. Experience was ~10k even though Orange had an over 10 kill advantage. The deny was definitely unfortunate, but Na'Vi showed greater composure and deserve it. Aegis is the best counter to BKBs. You heard what puppey said, focus the OD and the bane, ignore everyone else even if they get kills. What happens when OD has aegis and you blow your ults and BKBs on his first life? He comes back, ults your team, kills 2 or 3 of them, mops up the rest and takes your rax. OJ could have used their earlygame advantage gained by poor play by Na'vi and taken high ground with the aegis, but yeah. Missing the aegis means missing the timing push, which is the backbone of Orange's strategy and really crucial due to Navi's better lategame draft. Na'vi didn't do anything extraordinary to win, not like the epic fountain hooks against Tongfu, and even failed hard early game. This game is a pure throw by Orange, and the band of Navi fanboys denying this just shows that most of them don't know jack about dota and just like Navi because Dendi picks pudge once in a while. + Show Spoiler + I miss LOH and AA too. Still no reason to say Na'vi didn't do anything extraordinary. Orange were incredbily far ahead. 15-25k in both exp and gold. If it was so easy to execute a good teamfight, more people would pick enigma and bounty.

iceiceice is such a genius player, if only he had the opportunity to play for a great team like Chuan had.

The fact that that sunstrike is a top 3 play shows the lack of invoker in this tournament

Ultimately, that loss in the WB final may end up helping Navi b/c they saw Alliance's approach to them and have a straight up bo5 with no game disadvantage in the GF. THey now know not to bother with Wisp. Oh, and ban Loda Alchemist.
