that's some funny logic, it's kinda like how people with social phobia think, missing chances and opportunities is great because they don't get exposed :D
So... what that make you? Good? You're not good. You just know how to hide, how to lie

countered by the advantage that navi got to essentially play a warmup practice set going into the grand finals, while alliance sits in the green room twiddling their thumbs.

Yeah, its called being cool under pressure. Its the sign of a great team.

The salty Orange fans are funny. Orange is a great team and played really well, but couldn't hold it together in the end.

That had nothing to do with it. If they didn't deny the aegis Na'Vi lost, simple as that.

People who are far better at Dota 2 disagree with you. Even with the aegis, they might not have been able to break the base. They have one damage source that was losing steam.

I disagree with all of you, Orange wouldve won that game with that aegis.

Seriously, people underestimate how huge of that aegis deny did to the players mind, sea players are especially 'weak' in that department.

Well, then that weakness lost them the game. Better work on that.

Hahaha I imagine a game with cheats enabled and ky xy have to CS without denying countless aegis on the ground.

You don't take psychological effect in account.
Nobody is saying that if Aegis was on Orange it was like instant win, but the game wouldn't have ended so abruptly.
Anyone who denies that is a blind NaVi fanboy.

"Anyone who disagrees with me is clearly a fanboy so I can dismiss their opinions"

The game would have been about as bad. Orange had one damage dealer and everyone on Na'Vi were getting BKB's and frankly he was losing steam. Na'Vi had an overall better lineup and the gap wasn't that big to begin with.

The aegis was embarrassing but it wouldn't have made a huge difference. Maybe one more half of a teamfight would have been in their favor.

EDIT:

KACI PLS

ignore darkseid, every since this ti started he has been flaming na'vi and calling everyone who defends them a fanboy

You're good at bending stick in your favor, I see.
I think their strategy is to dumpster bad Western teams (c) uriel

You know there were alot of us (whoever "us" is in this case) who congratulated alliance (and the teams who took games off of navi), celebrated their awesome performance etc.
Can you all just stop the hate and feel the love?

This is a competition about who the best DotA teams are. The Chinese were not among them this time. So yeah... If you don't like it you shouldn't watch

Also Na'vi is one of the most aggressive teams in the world so I don't even get your point... or your trolling.

No one likes game advantages. They make for fucking boring finals 80% of the time.

Agreed.

Disagreed.

Well Alliance would play 2 games instead of 3 no big deal in this specific finals

I wouldn't like that for the 1 game advantage.

I think that it should be a Bo7 with Alliance having a 1 game advantage. That way we have 3-6 games, so only 1 more than now, with just 1 possibility for that.

"No one likes advantages", well how about the advantage that Na'Vi is still in the tournament after losing a series?

Explain to me how Orange got 3rd place after losing 6 games in prelims?

Prelims? No one was eliminated in prelims. Even MUFC was in. Grasping to straws much? Teams were eliminated in the bracket, after losing twice. Everyone but Alliance, that is. Who did the best. This means that you give a disadvantage to the team who did the best.

I can think of this as a qualifier for the grand finals, in which case I just think that this is a really really bad tournament format but at least won't be outright wrong.

The whole playoffs is a "prelims" for the grand finals. You can take the easy road which is to just stay in the winner's bracket the entire time and play less series as a reward for your performance, or you can take the harder route of having to go through an extra top team. Then the grand finals start.

There is no disadvantage in starting series off with a 0-0.

The way I see it, when playing in any double elim tournament, the player/s in the WB gets the advantage of being able to rest, clear his mind while also studying the other player/s strategies and tactics. Meanwhile those coming from the LB have to play more games, go trough more fatigue and reveal their strategies/tactics. Personally I feel like that's enough of an advantage for the WB player/s.

In this particular instance Alliance had the whole day to relax or do some friendly skrims and warm up if they felt like it or just watch and study Na'vi which is just as valuable at this point.
