If a get a scepter on Meepo, I get a 5th Meepo.
What happens if I drop the scepter or sell it? Would the 5th meepo disappear?

Also, on MOBA - its just such a stupid term. RTSs fit the term. FPSs probably best fit the term, or fighting games.

How do you do it so it makes new creeps? Are there certain times in the game you have to make the pulls? Or what?

This includes wards, heroes, other creeps and more importantly, corpses. A corpse will block the spawning of the next creep camp. So if you clear the creep camp at :58 and blink away immediately, no new creeps will spawm.

If there is nothing, it will spawn a new set of creeps there. To take advantage of this, what you do is aggro the creeps at :53 and pull them far away from their spawn point to trick the game into thinking there are no creeps left there.

This is sort of weirdly worded because it implies there's a point that adding heroes from WC3 DotA will be "done"--since WC3 DotA remains in active development by Icefrog (and will continue to be so for the foreseeable future). Heroes will be added concurrently both to WC3 DotA (which is still in active development) and DotA 2. Whether there will be DotA 2-only heroes added beyond that remains to be seen (though I expect Icefrog to try and retain parity between the two until WC3 DotA development ceases).

It's also worth adding that development cycles in Dota are nothing like in HoN/LoL, you can expect waiting 6 months for a new big patch that will change a lot of the current heroes and add a few new ones and a few balance patches afterwards that add nothing new. You won't get a new hero every 2 weeks. The game still changes drastically even without a patch though, just by the players discovering new things and changing the way they play.

I've been hesitant to play versus people because of my awful level and am mostly playing against bots to understand heroes, items, positioning etc. My question is, how much can the bots actually teach me? I feel that usually i can out-farm them but that only really happens in the later stages of the game. Because the games take +30 mins and they all feel the same as the last im wondering if this is the best way to learn DotA. Yes it teaches me new heroes but its not very exciting to only go up against fake opponents. Am i better off practicing against humans or should i work on my skill more first? Definitely stick to coop vs bots first, despite the chance of learning quicker when doing matchmaking. You'd ruin the game for others if you don't know what you're doing, and when fighting the AI you're free to analyse and observe the game without the stress matchmaking would normally give to a new player. What? How would he ruin games for others? He will be against people at his skill-level, and if not then he will be adjusted to be at that. I think this is a really stupid reason for people to not play against humans, his first games will always be bad since bots teach you bad habits if you only play against them. He might as well go Q up. @Above, how does he not learn more from playing against humans than playing against bots? Sorry but i'm not following this logic. And since matchmaking is trash, it won't end well. Also if he's playing with 9 other clueless people they'll never find out how to play properly. Bots show good examples for beginners, it's just that they aren't good for anything else.

Don't play meepo yet then. Meepo requires a lot of micromanagement, and is quite possibly the worst hero to start out with. However, if you are steadfast that you must play meepo, I would suggest getting mechanism, drums, vlads, treads (or boots of travel), etc. You are looking for aura items, because each meepo benifits from them. Remember, they don't act as illusions, and they only gain the boots. AC would be a good lategame item, and radiance also seems that it would be good (although, they wouldn't benifit from the damage, i'm pretty sure that the radiance aura works). A heart is also a good choice, although, once again, i'm not yet sure if it works. Aghs is also a good item, but considering you are new, I don't expect your multitasking to be good enough to use it effectively. Skillwise, I would max 4 points into poof. Skill build would look something like q,e,w,w,w,r,w,q,q,q,r,e,e,e,stats,r, stats-> This means that you have lowest cooldown for poof by level 7, so your meepos can be safe. Your earthbind is skilled next, because the cooldown reduction allows you to take a hero out of the fight indefinetely when your ulti is maxed. Lastly, go for geostrike. While the slow might be nice earlygame, you are really squishy early on, and you don't want to be to agressive. EDIT: Items not in that order obviously. Just listing some good items.

Meepo clones get 125% of stats - This only applies to boots aka treads, and the ability stats (the 10 levels of not-poof/geo/net/ulti) right? @above - meepo is in test client atm, should be in main client soon.

Mm? They get 25% not 125%. 100% of boots stats. They get skillpoint and level stats normally. On Meepo you generally want treads + mekansm + vlads. After that you can go with blink, pipe, AC, aghs. I guess there are other options but choosing from just that pool is a very good idea in nearly every case.

They get 125% of boot stats because they get 25% of the stats that the boots give the main meepo, then they all carry their own boots giving them the original 100% stats, making up 125% of boots. Everything else stays at 25%.
