If kunkka decided to tidebringer daedalus into a bunch of guardian angel + blademail wielding team, kunkka won't get instagibbed.

I've tried it as lycan, and it can be frustratingly ineffective (like playing as brood vs sand king) In pushes, Axe is a melee hero with no creep-clearing ranged AoE. That's enough of a liability in and of itself. Actually, with battle cry, even after the effect is removed, creeps will still attack you. You can clear waves very fast, all you need is 3counter helix after all. And in 5v5, an Axe will kill your Lycan once bkb is over and blademail activated. It's too easy to drop him down to 600hp in 5sec

It's too easy to drop him down to 600hp in 5sec This implies that in pushes, you can actually move into range to Battle Cry creeps without taking a ton of free damage from the enemy team. You can clear waves quickly, yes. But the range on your creep clearing ability is virtually nonexistent, which is what makes it impractical for push/anti-push.

Voice_enable 0 Use that command line in your autocfg or save it as the last line in your cfg file. google how to make an autocfg, its very useful or you'll have to type that into console every time you start dota.

There should be a push to talk button. There is and it is the same one I use for every other voice chat program I use. I want to be able to enable in game voice if I actually want to use it one day though. You'd think it would be as easy as pressing the on/off button in the options menu, but it must just be fluff or not implemented yet or something since I have to go into config files to edit options ^_^ On August 01 2012 01:36 Ack1027 wrote: Show nested quote + On July 31 2012 13:49 Blitzkrieg0 wrote: How do you save your options? Added to the config file in the cfg folder (steamapps/common/dota2beta/dota/cfg) and it is still on. Will google how to do this auto cfg thing I guess ^_^

1)If you use two tangos, use two mana potions, ect does the regen stack as in +4 goes to +8? Or does using a second one simply reset the regen timer 2)After randoming Ogre Magi, he has become a favorite hero of mine. Why isn't he picked more in high level games? He has a stun, a slow, a decent buff, and an ult that has potential for major damage. I understand he really doesn't have an escape(unless a stun plus RUN AWAY counts), but couldn't you just buy a force staff or blink dagger? I still don't really understand the fine points of stats on a hero yet, but he seems to be reasonable tanky especially for an intelligence hero. 3)I know that when wanting to watch a game, the games on page one are higher rated than page two and so on. Is there a way to sort live games by hero played?

2) because he is a melee caster who relies a great deal on luck/other heroes can do all his roles but better. Nobody wants to pick him in a competitive game because if you get unlucky in key moments your just kinda screwed. High risk/low reward. 3) there is a filter option where you can search for games with specific heroes.

Why is being a melee caster a problem, especially since like I said he seems to have a bunch of health. Also, unlucky in damage output yes but he will always stun/slow/buff your target, or am I just way out in left field on this.

I think the main problem with him is that he just relies on luck too much, being a melee caster isnt really his biggest problem because there are other amazing melee casters like Earthshaker. your right, being a melee caster isnt really a big problem for him, but it does make it difficult for him to farm effectively because he has difficulty escaping ganks as you mention with his single target stun. I stand by my statement that he isnt a good competitive hero though, although I am certainly not trying to discourage you from playing him if you like him ^_^

It's naturally easier to pick off melee heroes because they have to jump next to enemy heroes in order to do right click damage. Ogre magi could decide to stay the heck away from direct battle, but then the damage contribution would be greatly reduced. It's not that much of a problem, but still it would be nicer to right click from range. Another consequence is that during the laning stage, it's a lot easier for ranged heroes to exert lane control over melee heroes in general.
