I agree with the poster on the other page. For a fast blink build you should go with soul ring first. I will expand on this below.
If you are engima you are almost 100% guranteed to have to buy atleast a courier or a set of wards. Possibliey even sentry wards for yourself. In a normal situation buy your courier/ward then go along and grab a sobimask and clarities. You can also get a soulring recipe and more mana pots if you find this better. I find either way works personally. Once you get your soulring you should crow the courier if that has not been done cause it is very crucial for your team and yourself.
If you are going to head into a fast blink you have the option to just stay in the jungle with your soulring and keep farming directly for blink or you can pickup boots or power treads if you are getting ganked. In the case you are being roamed on you should skip the fast blink and go directly for powertreads and mek than blink. If that is not the case get your Blink into Powertreads then go ahead and get Mek/BKB. skip the mek if you have somone else who can get it or your intiation is crucial for your team to win the fight.

What signals do you use to determine whether or not you should abandon going for a radiance on a hero? In particular Lone Druid. Yeah I know if it's going absolutely horrible you abandon going for it, or if you don't have it at 30-40 minutes you stop going for it, but are there any other 'early warning signs' that you should go for other items during the game (besides just going for another item build due to compositions). Nothing seems worse than trying to go for it then at 30min having to abandon it when you could have gotten whatever else (like a hyperstone and upgraded boots) 5-10 minutes ago.

Well in terms of a Captain Mode game, your captain should have a plan. If you plan on doing a 20minute rax you should be able to farm your radiance around 15minute with your team making sure that happens. A good alternative if you are being ganked or roamed on is getting a mek and or a pipe then getting the radiance. This allows you to be tankable to fight and do dmg via bear while keeping you team alive and not being useless. If you are not getting the farm to get your radiance around 15-22 minutes you should abadon it.
Their is 0 point in trying to farm a radiance and not getting it before the 26minute mark. At this point you are pretty much just weighing your team down.

Is there a way to bind a combination of two keys using the Autoexec.cfg file?
Currently I have: bind "leftarrow" "say_team Top Lane Missing"
But is there a way to bind ALT + leftarrow to say for example, Top Missing Has Returned?

i wonder is there anyone done a 'creep spawn rectangle' mapping for dota2 creep camp? I am usually the warder of the team (be it supporter/semi-carry/carry >_>) and sometimes my ward is off because it it different from dota1 :S
|
Do you have proof that its different from dota1? Any of the important wards are the same from my experience. Actually dota 2 is a lot more lenient in ward placement.

You can just look at the ward guide though for common placements.

The 2 most important wards that are totally different are both near the water and have nothing to do with creep blocking.
This first one doesn't provide as much Rosh vision as it used to in normal DotA.

This second one isn't possible in Dota 2 while it is normal DotA.

The grass one in radiant jungle seems to be a bit different was well, not sure how exactly.

Edit: Your post is probably from confusion of taking my post out of context. I was only responding to BurningSera saying that maybe the creep blocking wards are different. I wasn't talking about every other type of ward [ vision/counter etc ]
While your post is informative it doesn't really answer my question. Also your 2nd screenshot/ward location is highly highly situational. There's 3 or 4 ward spots you can use instead of that one and get arguably more benefit while not being taken out by an overlapping sentry ward. It's not that important.
Is there any proof yet that the creep spawn boxes are different in dota2? In regards to blocking/dewarding they haven't been in my opinion.
The orange lines are the blocking wards.Magic bush still works, 3 different wards for top dire camp still work, Radiant strong camp closest to base is still blockable etc... Not sure what the issue BurningSera is having. Maybe a ss or replay example?

I havn't noticed any real differences in creep blocking either.
Second ward spot that isn't possible is mostly for when opponent goes heavy on counter warding, that ward spot usually isn't checked and often there is no sight over it.

i have seen that guide but i i want a dota2 version of this:
my only problem atm is that my anti-creep spawn ward at the sentinel forest failed to block 2 creep camps at times. the spot of magic bush 2.0 is different.

I'm fairly certain it's not. Last I checked there actually is a bush in game where the magic bush is. And placing the ward there blocks both camps as expected.

? Follow the dignitas guide. Also its a lot more lenient.
One thing I learned from that dignitas guide is that the radiant medium camp nearby rune is no longer blockable by that rune ward but thats the only mention of change in creep box spawn in the entire guide. Somehow I doubt that ward [ which is not even used by pros really ] was your problem.
Just fire up single player and work on it with -spawnneutrals or whatever the command is. I assure you magic bush works 100%.

weird :S may be the graphics look better in dota2 XD
i just cant really see it that clear anymore:

I think your graphical settings is the problem. This is how it looks like for me:

BuringSera's portrait placed the ward wrong yeah, it needs to be on the little patch of bush to the left of the small undergroundish rock

Currently I am getting a problem where I will just get stuck on the loading screen whether its if I want to play a game or even watch a game. Does anyone know what the problem might be?
