I'm not exactly sure how I dodged it, Dive isn't a disjoint and shackle's travel speed (1650) is much higher than the dive (1000). In the 1/2 second or so of the dive it should have gained 325 units on me and presumably stunned me. | ||

It's hard to get a very good look from the recording, but my preliminary guess is that the shackle doesn't latch because there's really no unit/tree behind you to latch to. | ||

The not "latching" isn't the issue. Even if there isn't a tree/unit for it to latch to, it still normally does a small ministun, which should have stopped this Dive -> Egg combo. | ||

It either doesn't hit you until you're in nova (in which case the replay is really out of whack because the sprite reaches you around the start of dive), or it plain disappears for no reason. | ||

40:13 is the listed start of the time of the teamfight. Even slowed down & in game it looks just as weird, but maybe someone will see something I didn't. | ||

I'm asking because I've seen Dark Seer blink ahead in pro games and vac wall but then there's not much after that. | ||

dunno what game youre referencing but it was probably just a case of miscommunication within the team or something. a vac wall combo is not only useless without any followup but also extremely costly because of the downtime, so it was most likely a mistake from that team where they failed to coordinate their fight properly | ||

There doesn't seem to be any follow up AOE there? | ||

There doesn't seem to be any follow up AOE there? they don't have heavy AoE but getting the brewmaster clap on multiple heroes (300 damage + 55% move and attack speed slow) can be big also it can combo into visage's familiar stun (see you could also get a beasmaster roar onto one of the vacuumed heroes to get even more disable on one target + knockback on all the other targets in the AoE | ||
