Bristleback Techies Batrider I ask because i've heard others suggest the item for these 3 and honestly, i don't know if it's worth it on any of them. I struggle to find it worth the slot/gold on any hero aside from zeus and pudge | ||

It's interesting on bat for blink range + lasso range (basically double-dipping on initiation range increase) but still quite unlikely to be worth it. Plus bat already has a lot of very crucial items that this in no way displaces. It's not remotely interesting or cute on bristle, just straight bad. It's better than you think on a lot of supports. Added range on all your spells makes fight positioning soooooo easy, and with no recipe cost plus components available from the sideshop it's very easy to cobble together from casual items etc. | ||

On Bane, it's a luxury item that lets him channel Fiend's Grip from a safe position more often. On Centaur, it only extends Double Edge and Blink Dagger range, but Centaur wants all the components. Also, being able to Double Edge from outside melee range is game-changing in a few matchups. | ||

It also competes with Octarine, but I think Aether is an easier next item by far. Disruptor potentially. Glimpsing from 2000 range is pretty enticing and could be an alternative. An odd suggestion, but what about Pugna? 600 range Nether Blast is a lot safer than 400 and Life drain becomes a lot safer a lot earlier. Plus 8% dmg means 8% faster falling towers. | ||

So if had 1500 max hp but were at 300 damage, took 500 damage, then were stuck inside supernova regardless of the duration of false promise when you enter the egg you'd survive and emerge with 1000 hp. I don't know that anyone typically has a period of invulnerability & life leech, but I'd imagine like Ember + Skeleton King (or Ember in Vlad's range) you could use Slight of Fist to get some extra time & life leech to maybe survive the False Promise. | ||
