What a patch we live in where those are the least played heroes. Would have never thought I'd see the day. My guess is that Ember is too hard of a hero for some people and people have figured out Alch and so they are trying out new things.

wow cool thanks you guys are awesome, now I was also wondering ( should probably ask on alch page but) when should i skip radiance on alc and just go for solar crest and blink and stuff is it a line up thing or just that i can't get radiance fast enough? and by no means am I a good player so I know my radiance timings are going to be far off of a pro or even 4-5k player, so when is to late 15mins? Keep in mind the people i play are just as bad so maybe 17-20 ok?
edit now that i think about it 20 is way to late but around there ok?

generally I would say 15 minute radiance is a bit late for an alch with max greevils... It's unrealistic to expect 8 minute relics like pros get but I think a 12-13 minute radiance timing is definitely doable in a pub
I personally think the solar crest fighting build is all around better since getting room to farm in pubs is hard, if you get a super fast armlet/solar/sange and yasha/some other fighting item you can just roll over the enemy team

15 min radiance is not late at all. its late compared to what alche COULD get, but you have to put it into perspective of actual game time. an alche with max greevil is probably doing nothing else in the game but farming. an am getting bfury is pretty much doing the same thing, and a 15-17min bfury is good for am. 15 min radiance on a max greevil alche will still be early enough for you to eclipse everyone else in your game

Of course alc can get it faster; he literally said just that. The point is that it's perfectly reasonable for a team to 4v5 for 15-20 minutes before needing a carry to contribute.
This is SQSA and the question was asked by a new player. There's nothing intrinsically untenable about a 15 minute radi, especially in a newbie game.
The real answer is "it's late if your team will collapse before you can add 1-2 more items on top", as well as: "it's late if the other team's lategame will be online and stronger than you by the time you add 1-2 items on top", but if someone can determine those accurately they won't be asking a question in SQSA.

Thank you. god I love this thread so much fun learn so much.

also keep in mind that when you're playing at the level where you're getting a 15-20 min radiance, there are other players on the enemy team playing at a similar level, so their items are gonna be delayed as well.
that being said, 12minutes is definitely an average, reasonable timing for radiance on alchemist. the first time I played with the build I did not get a bounty rune, got roamed on twice, and still completed one around 11minutes after bottle, boots, with 2 (maybe 3?) bounty runes.
even with my team feeding kills to the other guys (our pudge ended up dying 20+ times in a 40 min game), it was still fast enough to be relevant.

How do you drop creep and tower aggro especially, quickly without moving out of range?

It only works if there is something else ready to take the aggro of course

also make sure not to attack the tower right after you try to remove aggro

this isn't necessarily a problem. whether or not you re-aggro the tower depends on whether or not the tower has acquired another target yet. you can do some neat tricks juggling tower aggro while diving someone if you pay close attention to the tower's attacks.
|
Remember you can a-click a creep every time u see the projectile that will kill a creep so u dont get targeted next, and when the tower launches the attack again you hit it and you can just hit the tower until you would get the aggro because there are no creeps left.
just a bit of practice and you'll get it in no time.

What determines if a jungle camp will spawn new units? Does it check if a ward/unit has vision of it? Or does it check if a ward/unit is in a certain area?
I thought it was vision, but sometimes I can see the new units appear, and sometimes they fail to respawn even though the camp was in fog of war when the time hit :00

I thought it was vision, but sometimes I can see the new units appear, and sometimes they fail to respawn even though the camp was in fog of war when the time hit :00 every jungle camp has a "spawn box" if there's no units inside the spawn box at the x:00 mark, new creeps spawn it has nothing to do with vision, which is why sentry wards can block camps from spawning some units summoned by hero abilities (techies mines, TA traps, brood webs) won't block camps though

is arc warden -actually- a carry? i feel like his kit is really useful as a support but would like some input. thanks

He's a support that explodes in farm because he can get double Midas.
Then you just spend the rest of the game ratting with double Necro.

hes a support who buys midas and then basically becomes another core with the amount of farm he gets from it
