ya like generally if u get aquilas ur gonna be some kind of farming core. so most of the time the two aquila carriers are gonna be at opposite ends of the map farming and pushing out etc...

Most other aura items that you don't want to get multiples of don't really justify themselves on the self-stats because they have so much gold value invested into the aura. Aquila is cost-efficient enough even ignoring the aura that you don't really worry about aura stacking issues, even if your team is going to be 5-manning.

Drums is similar, though it's been years since Drums were good enough that you'd regularly end up with 2 heroes that want the item, so that comes up less often.

In solo queue as offlane LC, is it better to go blink or SB? I'm guessing if I go SB then a mana regen item would be very necessary - bottle?

bottle is nice either way, especially if you'd be the 2nd bottle carrier (2 on a team is ideal imo, 3 is excessive)

blink or sb depends on both preference and heroes involved, but i think blink is a better choice in more games

Usually Blink first, but that does not preclude SB later.

Blink gives you a more immediate effect on the game since you can get it earlier. SB is better for setting up solo-kills due to it giving you offensive stats, but LC's development offlane usually doesn't give you enough to work with to be a big solo-kill threat at that point. Again, it is possible to end up getting both if you get Blink, get several successful ganks to put your damage in range of threatening key heroes and want to extend your control over the game.

Excellent thanks. Quick follow up - bottle offlane is kinda mandatory regardless of initiation choice right? Or is soul ring on LC a viable option?

Soul Ring doesn't seem that good on LC since you want to manfight people with Duel. 150 HP can be the difference between winning a Duel and feeding.
Heaven's Halberd is the most criminally underbought item in Dota. Together we can stop this.

Soul Ring is fine on LC. Whether Bottle is better depends on the mid matchup and how confident you are in being able to control the offlane rune (depends on their supports and mid) because Bottle loses it's luster when you can't get runes or Bottle-crow because mid is doing it.

You're not using it before Duels obviously because she doesn't need it for the max mana, you're using it to support OO spam.

Every time you use sr you should oo + pta after so the -150 hp is mitigated anyway

Cuz I am too lazy to go check anything myself and my brother said something, what is relation between xmark and bladefury? Basically is it possible to get x-ed, bladefury tp, then get called back? He thinks it should be and I don't know I just know I did it like 4 times in our last game and my bladefury tp always worked fine.

Edit: Nevermind he is just retarded x only last 4secs on enemy.

i dont think magic immunity removes x if it's already been applied, but you also can't call back someone who's immune

Yes that's definitely how it works it stays on you just immune it, his claim was that the x would go off after the bladefury if you started the spin too soon or something but the durations are wrong.

I'm not convinced by shadowblade first LC, at all. The offensive stats are a complete trap since SB initiation is (usually) mutually exclusive with her pre-duel round of buffs.

PtA alone gives you more damage than the shadowblade break+as. Blink also allows you to OO from trees as well as pop blademail etc., and that's on on top of the fact that you give up the break damage from SB half the time by duelling from invis.

The main value in shadowblade is the ability to constantly invade their space and stay off the map, but I rarely find that sufficient to ignore blink.

Unless there's no chance of someone else initiating a duel with at least a stun or something I usually try and just go blademail first. I like the new phase boots on her more than treads and so far have found more success from phase blademail than from treads blink builds. Definitely agree that shadowblade is underwhelming compared to blink though.

I have two questions since I don't play the game, just watch:
When a courier is killed, are the items it carried lost?
And what circumstances allows a player to use their own gold to build an item to give to a teammate to use?

Most items aren't shareable. In most cases, giving an item to a teammate (or picking up an item that a teammate or opponent dropped) causes the item to be Muted (unusable and gives no passive stat bonuses) in your inventory. The other exception is Divine Rapier. Divine Rapier normally isn't shareable (if you drop a Rapier and someone else picks it up it's Muted as normal), but if the Rapier carrier dies the Rapier is dropped on the ground and becomes fair game to be picked up and used by anyone who picks it up.

This is almost never possible. Exceptions are:

- Alchemist is able to give aghs sceptres to his teammates.
- Consumables (mango, salve, tango, clarity) can be used on teammates in a limited capacity.
- TPs, wards, smoke, dust, cheese, courier are fully shareable.
- Gem and bottle can be passed to teammates for their use, but they are still owned by the original hero
- There are a few specific regen items that will apply their regen bonus when shared, like ring of health
- Also technically divine rapier

There was actually a time when couriers dropped items on death but they changed that just a few years ago actually.

Moon Shard is ground targeting, not unit targeting. It's basically like that for the same reason that Bloodstone is--to force you to click after activating to prevent accidental activation. The actual targeting serves no function.
