Tinker is just such an anti-Liquid hero, can't kill towers, can't kill Rosh, can't dominate lane, can't contribute early game. Then they put MC on lane surviving heroes like Nyx and Underlord where he's just a bit annoying in teamfights but can't carry the game. They pick up gyro twice into weak lanes where it just gets run over.
Liquid does so well in sustained push/ teamfight line-ups that I don't understand why they'd counter themselves by picking such weak lanes.
Tinker can absolutely dominate a lane and contribute early game.

I agree they outdrafted themselves in those two games. I don't know if they were careless and just felt like playing certain heroes like Nyx who is garbage or wanted to push the limits of what they can do.

You're right, I was still angry seeing Liquid struggle with the pick (again). Tinker can work, but it doesn't seem to fit Liquids style, Miracle's 50% win-rate on it is pretty bad for a team that wins around 70% of their games.

Kuroky was looking at a paper during draft which I normally don't see him do. It's possible they wrote down heroes to try in a competitive setting, ET, Tinker, Nyx, Bounty.

Liquid looked much better today !
|
They did look good yeah, but if they would not stomp a tier 2 NA team, even I would be worried xD

I think it's actually quite funny how Liquid has switched positions so many times, we don't mention Position 4 Mind_control.

Two of liquid's three cores are great at playing with shitty start, be it recovering or just staying focused and not tilting.

Miracle against his old team and Jerax in the same situation. Cannot help myself from getting hyped for this match :D
|
Well that was an easy series;)
|
Games are so easy when the lanes are good. Miracle on a scaling carry that can fight and push. Matumbaman on some bruiser like Razor and Viper, MC on a 3rd core that can scale with farm, GH on a GH hero (apparently they're trying to add ET to this list), Kuro on anything with a stun.

Can we still go back to that Liquid vs Optic game 1 (was it?) and the insane rosh pit fight where liquid 6-0s (teamwipe + aegis) Optic at 11k down in net worth at around 32mins. I watched that I just started laughing like a maniac. How do we pull off stuff like this, I just love it.

That game was deceptive in that Optic went all-in on Brood (I'm assuming you meant game 2) and trying to break high-ground. It was a matter of time before Miracle outscaled the damage from Optics lineup that went full blinky pushy tornado sticks.

Liquid vs Secret so early already. Scary match-up.
So far I think Liquid looked better than Secret at this event but a clash between these two is always impossible to call.
|
Yes, Fnatic winning was unfortunate as Secret is likely much more of a challenge for the boys. If you're the best though, it shouldn't matter in which order you beat your opponents
|
Secret lose against fnatic? LMAO Time to fuck them up bois.
|
The craziest part of the Secret.-Liquid match is, that one of them is NOT playing before the crowd! Still think this timetable is bullshit... anyway: Will be great matches! Of course hope for Liquid!
|
So hyped for the match today, hope we win
|
Man Secret is the only team that has our number (and by that mean the chances being 50:50 really)
|
I'm not sure Liquid got the memo that their SF winrate is 33%.
