To be fair, after that game 2 disaster I lost all hope and I knew Empire gonna advance
This game is about towers and the Throne, not kills and fancy play.

Day one loss to Empire was purely on Universe, purely on him. Day two loss to Empire was due to a combination of bad drafts and bad play.

Second game they pick a push strat and then get caught all 4 of them in a black hole that Rubick stole, why even fight into it? That is when they lost the game, after that a Spectre is like 3x times more powerful than a Drow Ranger.

Game 3 they lost purely because of garbage draft, they had very little synergy between the heroes, they had no burst damage, they picked Wyvern which is garbage this patch, his ultimate is so bad and IO doesn't really work without a better carry hero like Sven, Tiny, Ck, etc... They had the option to pick any1 of those carries and they picked the garbage lifestealer. Sven would have been like 5x times better pick!

secret goes crystal maiden, drow ,defensive io picks while other teams goes full priority on spec enchantress
tbh draft was garbage.

agaisnt ehome puppey plays offensive ,pie offensive and owns and then they decided to back to shitty ww io draft 6.85!
on positive side tho when this team gels they will own everyone.The cores can farm extremely well even against that vision lineup of spec

How many times the players have to tell it themselves? If you read some of the interviews, at least w33 had attitude problems and the team couldn't grow because he took it badly when teammates gave him advice. Don't think that's a healthy gaming atmosphere.

From what you can read in the interviews they seem to have the right attitude: Work hard, accept constructive criticism and have good communication. So I seem them being as successfull as their roster suggests the latest at TI6, if not at the next Major.

They should accept more online leagues tbh, scrims are fine, but real games are the real deal.

I know I've identified myself as not a Secret fan in the past (I still liked Puppey until he gave a raw deal to w33 and Misery), but I have to ask the fans: do they not play online tournaments anymore? It seems like, as a rule, they either get direct invites to LAN or don't show anymore. I'm wondering if this may have some effect on their performance. Teams are participating and trying things out and Secret remains in their lab working among themselves, not really competing until the next finals they were invited to comes along.

They didn't used to be like this, but it seems like the case after TI. I'm reminded of Envy once saying when Majors were announced that he'd like to eventually only play at Majors events, but obviously unless you win every Major your standing in other events is going to be a factor. Going into Shanghai I felt that they were at risk of losing their perpetual invite status (so was OG), but then they won Shanghai so the perpetual invite status has resumed.

If they take an early elimination again at Epicenter then I think their status will be in question yet again at Manila.

I highly doubt they're at risk of not receiving an invite to the next Major, the champions or finalists of the last Valve event have always received them, regardless of how bad they played inbetween (think of Na'Vi at TI4, who was in awful shape). The only thing that MAY be a question mark here is them replacing 2 players in their roster, but they're players who already did well at majors so even that is unlikely to be enough of a reason to make them qualify, imo..

Come on Racket , all their players deserve the invite based on results winners of the latest major or latest TI and highly ranked in all of their showings .... this is not Navi we are talking about (aside from RTZ of course )

Oh, I know as the Shanghai winners they're automatically going to Manila. Going into Shanghai however, their ability to secure future invites to anything was in doubt, but placing first gave them a new round of direct invites. They scored a first place title exactly when they needed to, in other words. But if they don't look like they can do that again in the months between Shanghai and Manila (and so far this has been the case), it would feel like they'd need to take first or at least top two in Manila again to keep it going.
