Secret actually brings up questions for Valve to finally answer regional questions. Teams like Tinker/coL participate with EU's in NA regional qualifiers because they live in that area while playing. Is Secret required to fly players to EU to play in Valve EU qualifiers? If so it'll probably be Universe, RTZ hates being in Europe and I imagine EE doesn't like it either. Not enough Freedom.

Arteezy is misunderstood. People try to assign all these motives to him to explain his behavior when really he's just a boy who wants to play Dota. He doesn't care about the money or the fame or the drama; just boys playing dota.

Enough with this delusion / meme / diatribe. He can and should be able to handle himself just fine.

What kind of an evil person wants to win in a competitive game? He should have INTEGRITY or something.

Does anyone know why Zai switched from Secret to EG as a sub? I really liked the plays of the kid when he was primary in Secret 2.0 ...
|
he and rtz are a package so when rtz went back to eg, zai also signed on as a sub idk if he still is a sub for eg tho
|
he signed on as a sub for EG. him and rtz are good friends i'd imagine. out of all the things that rtz says that are positive about other people, he spoke earnestly and fondly of puppey and zai the most--eventually saying he'd room with zai or something along those lines. also that he'd form a team with puppey and zai any time.
well, since their timelines are wonked up now and secret has universe, zai will be the player in the secret/EG limbo until a player decides that their career ends after this upcoming TI. it's not unlikely for universe or fear to stop entirely to move on in life at those point. i have a feeling universe may go another 6 months and see how the patch is before signing on for another trade period. i don't imagine fear will be playing much longer.
this opens a lot of space for zai regardless. and if all else fails (literally) he can form a team with w33 and friends.

zai took a year off from prodota to finish high school. He is a sub for EG to "keep his name in the scene" according to his interview with the dailydot (I think that's what it was). Presumably he went with them over Secret because he's better friends with the players there
Both him and ppd have said there are no plans for him to play until post-TI6 because of how the roster locks work

another secret all Star team. Hope this fails like the last one...I dont like the mentality of just putting the best players together on one team. I can understand it though, and I doubt they will do Bad.

Universe has played with 1/4.
These are guys that know and respect each other. With the exception of Universe, I'm not sure how your criticism makes any sense. Unless you think good players who know each other shouldn't team or something?

I find it a bit funny how people see this as an allstar team given how easily a lot of people were dismissing EE&PLD just 7 months ago or whatever.
The addition of Universe I guess puts that more to that direction, but in the case of EE, PLD and Arteezy I wouldn't really describe them coming together as putting together the best players. They are players who more or less started their pro careers together. This particular lineup has more history together than the previous Secret.

Most dota fans think everyone is bad until they win, and then they're good until their next loss.
I'm not sure how the new secret works out, because it's a different mix from Secret 2.0 which is where people pull their comparisons most of the time: +No Kuro. Kuro hindered puppey's support drafting because kuro was just not a good 5, so when they went jungle 4's for puppey the team suffered a lot. PLD is a VERY good 5 and allows puppey to confidently draft more supports because PLD can swap to 5 and do Janitor Work, or 4 on a tempo support. The best thing about Secret 3.0 is this new support combo.
Neutral: No s4 will be extremely different, not sure if better or worse. S4 is a sick in game leader and play caller, led Secret 2.0 for the majority of their dominance. They centered farm on carry/offlane and put a huge burden on S4 in mid for a lot of their draft.
Neutral: Zai and Universe are different. Universe is sick and we've seen him play farmed offlaners of course, but Secret 2.0 made giving offlane carry-level farm almost their norm. We'll see if they go with Uni's classic lineup of sick ult usage/teamfight heroes or some more zai-like carry heroes.

Kuro also seemed to be a source of internal conflict on Secret (and Na'vi before that), so that would be another plus to him not being around.

PLD plays the best Dota he's ever played, but he's only shown to be a big star (as in, god tier player) on this team. You can't deny he wasn't a question mark before Secret, same can be said about w33. EE still throws more than other decent carries, but they've won with him and Puppey seems to appreciate his dedication to the team. For better or for worse, he's a Major winner now and therefore a star in terms of results.

actually not entirely true since they played on kaipi 3 years ago together for a short while that was before rtz was particularly known tho
point is ee played a tournamen with universe before
