but he doesn't give a fuck what you or anybody else thinks of him. he has no tolerance for bullshit. and no he's not mature he's like 19 ffs. thank fuck we've got some cocky 19 yo's to keep the scene interesting. i can only read so many chinese "i'm gonna try my best to be a star" interviews. this "i'm a fucking star and fuck you buddy" interview is refreshing and great. reminds me of Hendrix. (lets hope EE's career will be longer) i think this is why EE has so many fans.

Pictures xiao8 as a school bully? It takes quite a bit of effort to interpret what he says in that manner.
To me a lot of the things people say about EE seem to stem from either willingly or unwillingly misinterpreting what he is actually saying. It's even worse in text interviews because you can't connect the words to his expressions. I would like to see an interview where he actually is disrespectful towards people. The language and tone he uses is just different to most people, and they either want to dislike him so they take everything literally to have some sort of a reason for their feelings, or just misinterpret it unwillingly. Like the most common thing you hear on his stream is "I fucking suck". It's no wonder that someone else sucks in his opinion as well. It doesn't mean that he says it disrespectfully or he thinks that team or player cannot improve in the future.
On September 07 2014 02:25 Count9 wrote: Interesting that they knew they were kicking Sing well before the VG game though, wonder what went wrong.
Judging from the interview it seems that contributing in directing the game and communicating well and giving or shooting down ideas wasn't a strength of Sing's, and they felt they needed someone who had that.

There are a lot of things you can say about Envy's character, like straightforward or dedicated but respectful really isn't one of them. For example: http://i.imgur.com/U5qkSXW.png?1I still like his attitude toward the game tho, he wants to be/challenge the best so which makes his comments on Xiao8 understandable. He was getting insulted there, what do you expect? Hum no he wasn't. Hum, LightOfHeaven was suggesting they were pausing on for no reason to make them late for StarLadder or something so they could get a free win. This a year ago anyway since they're using Kaipi tags. but I guess this happened in a vacuum where EE just decided to say "fuck yourself" out of nowhere and we should ignore everything else said in that screenshot and the context of it. I'm not ignoring anything, LoH said he wanted to forfeit because KP could keep on pausing (implying that they did it on purpose) and they had to play Starladder. That comment is at worst passive aggressive, it's not an insult and in a normal conversation wouldn't warrant a "go fuck yourself".
I've nothing against EE but to call him "one of the more respectful player we have' is really really stretching it.

You want EE to be exactly like you are: boring, so that you can relate to him. "Grow up" and be an adult like who? Like you?
He doesn't need to relate to you.

Light of Heaven is one of the most disliked players in the entire scene by everyone, LoH can go fuck himself.
There's like nobody in the pro-scene that dislikes EE.

damn love the no-bs
personally I don't have a problem with it but might help if he phrased things better. don't think there was anything wrong with what he said in a broad context though.

I mean I'm pretty amused because every time there is a person like this with any level of celebrity people say the exact same things to defend them like it's new and completely ignore literally all the things the detractors are saying. lmao this is literally impossible and you know it. Besides pre-TI3 Alliance there has never been a team in the Western scene that was "unbeatable".
The hate just doesn't stop for EE. Yes the Secret Team comments came off as rough, yes he was blunt about Tournament organizers, but I think EE should be commended about speaking is mind. As Plansix and Irish have mentioned, he's got good points, he's just lacking in polish and politeness.
Anyhow, I enjoyed hearing about Bulba and his thoughts on new Na'Vi

Tournaments not paying players is not cool.
Can't believe there are people here bashing someone for speaking their opinion.

I have no idea why people are so fucking mad at EE here.
He isn't telling Xiao8 how to live his life, he's saying what he'd do in his position and why he's upset that Xiao8 has retired. He even calls him the best; hardly super disrespectful. He isn't trashing on Team Secret, he's saying he hopes they do well, that other teams think they're really good but he's not seeing it yet and he thinks it's going to be hard for them to learn roles. I mean, he straight up said they're all incredible players at what they did before, he's not denying what everyone already knows or anything. He compliments WEC while noting failings. I don't see what's wrong here. He trashes organisations that deserve to be trashed. This is actually an important thing for players to do, why is he not getting respect for this? Are you guys who paid for your StarLadder ticket not pissed that they haven't paid out yet?
He's fairly negative about Sing, I guess, but that's it. Even there, he exclusively talks about FATA's positives when asked to compare the two players.
So what exactly is he saying that's so wrong? I think people are so used to people who are either total PC robots or total jerks that they can't see when someone is just speaking their mind as a competitor who's really passionate and who is going to give an honest assessment of how they see the game and its players.

There's nothing he's really saying wrong, it's just his choice of vocabulary makes him come off as an abrasive idiot. Also he apparently does other stuff in pub games and on his stream that fit this persona so people see him talking here and it compounds (I generally don't watch player streams so I can't remark on the veracity of this).
