I really hope Act 5 will be farmable. I love the scenery, and the music. Actually I'll farm it even if it's not efficient haha

i dont share your enthusiasm. first, it isnt said which damage type blessed hammer will have. and second, you have to keep in mind that hammedins would actually have been weak and retarded to play in d2 without either teleport from eni or charge. since there is no such effective way of moving in d3, the positioning for a hdin-esque playstyle could be a real bitch. particularly with the many narrow dungeons in d3 compared to the mostly more open maps in d2. and third, the damage modifier on that skill is very low - it sounds rather like a signature attack than an endgame skill.


I played D2 classic for a very long time. Hammerdins are extremely potent without teleport or charge.

But i agree with the rest of your post, it doesn't seem that viable in D3. If hammers don't go through wall, it can be extremely annoying against waller elites

While true, you probably won't have to invest as much into being a hammerdin as you did with D2. Without skill points we have plenty of other skills you can get for those times that hammerspam isn't effective.
I'm not saying it will be as powerful as in D2 but it could definitely be viable.

They say it's about the size of Act 2 so it seems it's going to be big enough to have a few good zones :D

I wonder how blizzard intends to monetize the game now though, since its quite apparent that SC2 is their last game ever to have the traditional "pay once" model. Hell, LotV may not even follow that.

With the AH being removed I might actually start playing again! Now we just need game rooms back to do some actual trading and some good loot variety and D3 might finally live up to the hype!

holy shit, that is a huge move. i could care less about the RMAH, but removing the AH actually pisses me off. after playing PoE for about a week and experiencing the shitty trade system there, its upsetting that if I want to get a high end item I will have to deal with children on the internet.

Well, it isn't mandatory that they monetize the game, so we'll just have to wait and see if they do. They could just do something akin to LoL skins/cosmetic bonuses.

Yeah, maybe they do similar stuff to Path of Exile. Hopefully, I'm mostly playing solo anyway and don't care if other guys run around looking really flashy.

Anyway, I believe with Loot 2.0 you're going to have much less desire to trade as much as before and won't miss the AH as much. I heard you find a lot more items for your desired stats.

this is really suprising, I liked not having the deal with a spammy trade chat in order to find items and D2 trading wasn´t particullary fun either, I hope loot 2.0 makes it so that I really never need to trade with anyone but can if I want to (ie trade with my friends)

I really don't think the auction house was intended to be a big profit thing for them, they legitimately thought it would make the game better and instead the gold one really damaged the structure of the game.

Not sure I like them getting rid of the real money one though.

as bad as it was, it was better than the alternative. they have not fixed anything, they have just given up and told people who want to use that functionality that they can get spammed to death in trade channels, or use third party sites like d2sjp.
