Lack of time...I'll probably get it done in a week or so, just curious about how to upgrade past that.

edit: get rid of all those vitality gems and put in some intelligence gems. you should also buff up your crit hit dmg.
Thanks! Now that you mention it, I'm not sure...might be time for a helm switch.

It adds to fire damage taken by you, yes.

20% more fire damage taken from andariels means that you take more fire damage from enemies. This was implemented in Diablo2 and it's cool they brought it back, makes the game more interesting.

-Source could stand a major upgrade. Go for at least 50-275 damage roll, that will increase your DPS by a lot
-Chest could use an all resist slot and +armor. You should be able to keep similar vitality (maybe a small drop) and a better intell roll and still have 3 sockets.
-Boots--get something with 140+intel, keep the resist and move speed.
All of this should be doable with a couple mil, maybe 3 tops.

Damn, how much did all that gear run you? That's about the stats I want for my Archon build

I am using an archon build now with around 165k DPS and from my experience it's actually more frustrating to farm with another archon. The problem with 2+ archons is that you're both starving for kills in order to stay in archon. Usually 1 is out of archon while the other is in archon, and the 1 in archon sometimes remains that way for a while because the other one doesn't get any kills and has a harder time gettings procs for CM to cooldown his archon

For archon builds get 'life after kill' items, they help a ton in archon builds because life steal isn't actually that great imho.

Life steal is a must if you want to kill any reflect damage packs, in my opinion.

I'm also going in the archon direction, any suggestions on what my next upgrades should be?
https://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Zyrnak-1410/hero/15719976
I've got (unbuffed):
46k dps 25% Crit Chance 168% Crit Damage 30k life 470 allres 2.9% lifesteal
I probably need to upgrade my crit chance if I want to use Critical Mass, and other than that just need to add on dps.

Unfortunately you're at the point where you need more of everything. More defense and more offense. How much money do you have saved up? You're probably going to have to drop your MF to get EHP and DPS improvements in most slots. Just off the top of my head you can add at least 50 int on your shoulders, you want crit chance on your amulet, you need some AP on crit, probably from the helm (storm crow is the cheapest way to get that, and the lightning damage bonus will help since you have a black weapon). Your belt can have another 50-60 int, vit, and AR, and your rings could dish out a lot more damage, but you probably want to wait until post patch for any significant jewelry investments. Eventually you are going to want to switch chests to a Tal Rasha's for the ridiculous offensive bonus the attack speed offers, but it's hard to do since you lose defense.
For point of comparison, here is my profile, and when I go full DPS mode, I'm just barely at the edge of making archon efficient. Currently critical mass build is more efficient. Also, they are currently testing having the life globe bonus apply to health potions as well, so if you see something with a sizeable health globe bonus, it is something to think about.

disco is very knowledable with this I myself ask him for advice ingame from time to time. He is correct though life steal is VERY needed. Otherwise once you come up to ANY kind of reflect dmg pack you will fall in about .01 second lol. Life after kill though is a nice bonus though. I myself went with mass life regen instead. I love it. I have around 2100 life regen per second with a 3.0% life steal weapon. I hardly ever die. As disco mentioned, reflect dmg packs don't even come close to hurting you =].

I am curious as to what you guys think I could improve on with gear. I went a bit of a different route I HAVEN'T fully committed to the archon build. I used to be orb / hydra. So I am still transitioning out of it 1 piece of gear at a time. I'd prefer to keep around atleast 100% MF. Obviously items off the top of my head I could upgrade my belt. / bracers. Any other ideas? Current stats: buffed ofcourse
28k life, 114k dps (140kdps w/ merc) 600 all resis 50% crit chance (2.0 attacks per second) 2100 life regen per second 2.9% life steal weap. 7300 armor 24% movement speed https://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/ZyceR-1205/hero/23962323

Hello, just some quick questions regarding the passive 'temporal flux'
I'm using seeker/arc hydra/orb as my kill spells and the passive was just something that kinda made sense.
1. Is it going to get better with the new patch or should I use something else like 'arcane dynamo'?
2. What other passive is an interesting substitute for flux if I'm also using glass and astral presence (without changing the kill spells)
Thanks

I'm going to say your weapon could use some looking into. I assume you know the whole deal with triumvirate with black weapon, which you don't have, but even that disregarding, having crit damage + socket on a weapon is so massive boost to dps that you'd be silly not to get it. Just to point out, with full on archon build, my dps is about 180k and I have less crit chance and about 200 lower dps on the weapon.

When I used that build I was a HUGE fan of "Illusionist" passive. My stategy behind it was I used teleport(fracture rune). So whenever I got hit I just teleported right out of any situation. Then whenever u get hit again, the teleport cooldown resets. That's the way the illusionist passive works. IMO it's critical in that seeker/hydra build to have that passive.

Nice thanks for the insight I hadn't thought about that. I looked into your profile and I like how it's setup you have some unique choices which I hadn't thought about. As I mentioned I still transitioning but I do like your lacuni setup with the Zunimassi Pox ring. I will prolly have to swap some of my gear one piece at a time. Such as my helmet / etc. Till I can get my resistance up and my life. I am looking for around 150-180k dps if I can. So I can hopefully do around MP5 real quick that'd be my best intentions. Thanks for the insight.

Also, if you feel like you are dying you can probably add on 50+ vitality on your tal rasha's while still preserving some MF for 25-40 million, which if you sell your current one probably wouldn't be that expensive.
