You need quite good gear to make it work nowdays, like near 50%cc, 2.5 aps or more with 20 apoc, besides the usual mitigation u need to play a tank. Its specially hairy to pump the ias while keeping the armour and ar, coz you need to get some ias on non native slots, and doing that while keeping the ar and armour is veeeerrryyy expensive.

Problem arises with higher mps, but theyre not the optimal way of farming anyways, you will just want to be going up higher mp levels in group play or when you are getting much better geared and overkilling the lower mplvls. The problem really is with cm, they have nerfed it so much that u need very good gear for it to work worse than before. Unless you are almost there or have a lot of money i would just stay out of it. I got into it coz i was just like 60-70 mil away from getting to the specs, i got a chants force drop and a will snipe for 2 mil, and i like it for group play. When im soloing ill be hitting mp2 with archon, or even mp1 if i can get some nice mf gear and replace the extra mp mf for gear mf.

Edit: Tal Rasha's relentless pursuit is the easiest way to really up the DPS, but unless you're pretty well off you'll sacrifice quite a bit of survivability, but that 8-9% attack speed boost on a piece of normally defensive-focused slot is huge.

I assume you know the whole deal with triumvirate with black weapon, which you don't have, but even that disregarding, having crit damage + socket on a weapon is so massive boost to dps that you'd be silly not to get it. Just to point out, with full on archon build, my dps is about 180k and I have less crit chance and about 200 lower dps on the weapon. http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Bondator-1355/hero/16100005 I looooooooved your char. I tried to replicate it as much as possible or atleast use it as a baseline. I didn't exactly go the same route I varied it somewhat but I swapped up my build actually. I went with forked lightning for the new patch with massive IAS and High crit chance to help reduce archon cost and I am EXTREMELY happy with it now because it kills so fast even out of archon. My new stats since I looked @ your char and took help from others. It's funny that you mentioned the new weapon with crit dmg + socket also because I actually farmed my new weapon that same day lol. Which gave me an added 20k dps so you were right of course. 44k life, 157k dps 950-1000 all resis 47% crit chance (2.2 attacks per second) 1200 life regen per second 24% movement speed https://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/ZyceR-1205/hero/23962323

So far it kinda stinks, because changing my hear for AP on crit will remove my 7% crit chance. Getting offhand with AP on crit will force me to buy 1h also. It would be cool to recive some feedback from you guys. http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/DnameIN-2247/hero/212526

I did try it on PTR very briefly and seemed like there's still no better cooldown burner than energy twister. It's just going to be mistral breeze instead of storm chaser now. I have quite nice crit/crit dmg/int ratio, but im totally screwed with AP on crit, and my 2h hand weapon (so i can't just switch source for extra ap on crit). Can someone give me any clue, what could be best way to upgrade my gear for archon build? There's no way getting around the fact that you can only have apoc on wizard hat, wand and source. I can see your weapon is pretty good, although I don't really get it how you make do without life steal... Anyways, if you don't have the money to upgrade multiple items at once, you could just get some cheap pieces with apoc and swap those on when you're out of archon. For everything else, look for similar items in the AH as your current gear and upgrade whatever's cheapest.

Some of the more better archon users that I get my info from are on here as well.....Disco is a really good guy that I get majority of my information from..As well as Bondator. If you wanted to go somewhat cheap. I will tell you what I think you need to improve. 1. Get rid of nats helm. If you want to go super cheap. As mentioned above, Go Stormcrow. Excellent for APOC builds. Or find a nice helm with a socket + resistance with arcane on crit.(Necessity) 2. Shoulders are decent for the build so you don't have to upgrade those unless you want to get some more vit. / int.(Not necessity) 3. Ammy, you could upgrade and drop some int on it for some vit. / resistance.(Not necessity) 4. Chest, You REALLY need to find a chest with all resis. You could easily upgrade this chest with no more then 4m max.(Necessity) 5. Belt, Good all resis but you could easily squeeze some more vit on these for under 1m(Not necessity). 6. Bracers, Good solid bracers, could easily get good all resistance on here for under 5m. 7. Pants, I love depth diggers I think their a great purchase...but only @ the highest levels. These sacrafice WAY to much int / all resistance just for the extra MF/GF. I think you should change these up for a better int/vit/all resistance In my opinion(Necessity). 8. Boots, I love these. I have a pair myself, keep these prolly best purchase or find that you own IMO, replace these last(Not necessity). 9. Weapon + Source. (MUST REPLACE!!!!), This will give you the biggest boost in dps. - Weapon,(If low on funds) Can easily find a black weapon with no socket that has arcane on crit + crit dmg. for under 500k that does like 1000+ dps. with 2.5%+ life steal(MUST HAVE LIFE STEAL) - Source find a good damage roll triumvirate with arcane on crit, and as high crit chance as you can get. See if you can squeeze in some vit in there also. -This is just my opinion on low funds build that is easily achieveable. You seriously need vit / all resistance. If you can't survive there's no reason to this build you will just die over and over...Archon is extremely fun and very very effective but if you die to 1 hit to everything..It's worthless. Here is an example of 2 different Archon builds. (No need for arcane on crit) Mine - Forked lightning archon. - I rely solely on increased attack speed for my crits on forked lightning https://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/ZyceR-1205/hero/23962323 Bondator - Storm chaser archon. - Relies on arcane on hit for his procs for stormchaser. (needs arcane on crit) http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Bondator-1355/hero/16100005

My stats are 39k DPS, 62k life, 60 all res, 8 crit. I use blizzard, venom hydra and magic missile for damage, any better damage builds where I won't die immediately considering my gear? just use the usual kiting spec like the one you are using right now. maybe change venom hydra for arcane hydra, since the last patch, it is considered stronger. other than that, you need much better gear. with 60 all res, you are gonna get oneshot by pretty much anything. the good news: your gear is probably so bad that you can get good improvements for just 1M in total, which can be found by simply playing the game for 10 hours or so. you should also find upgrades yourself from time to time.

With the induction of the new paragon levels adding 3% MF and the new MP levels adding MF as well...MF on items is becoming somewhat of a non existant fad. I have usually kept around 100% base MF on my char my entire career. Have played less than 1/2 of my friends and found items worth about 100x more. I've found numerous items i've sold for over 150m. I don't believe MF is hopeless but in my honest opinion at your rate it's the last thing you should worrying about. Think of it this way. MF makes items expensive. How can you afford decent items on your gold cap? ESP trying to go for MF items. I would say restart brand new and scratch what you have and drop all MF if possible and get better stats.

I used to play a stormchaser tornado / lightning fork / nova. Only 45K dps, but it was good to farm act 3 before the patch. after the patch i cant kill most elite pack act 1 with MP1. .... WTF. http://eu.battle.net/d3/fr/profile/wintermute-2911/hero/5101596 I dont have any money (never found anything worst selling more than 500 k) (i hace something like 5 M now, but it go down as soon as i upgrade gems.) Any advice ? because it's a pain to play now... i was happy about this patch before playing it..but now... i dont know what to do.
