I just saw someone switch a weapon I believe it was in between fights to spam Hydra and some shots to very quickly heal himself.
There is a bug where any 'life on kill' will proc whenever you cast hydra. No idea why it hasn't been patched yet, perhaps because it's not abused enough currently for them to care. Who knows.

Depends. In my opinion, int should always be on any item you equip in a rather large quantity. And you don't want a bit of crit/critdamage, you want either a lot or none. Since in my opinion none is not really an option, since pure AS is not that useful in most builds, id suggest getting crit/critdamage on all slots they can be on, and maybe IAS on some of them too if you can afford it. This also means that you absolutely want a weapon with a socket, and maybe additional critdamage on it. A socket in a weapon is a LOT of critdamage.
ias on rings is far better than crit or crit dmg since ias usually hovers around 15 while crit/crit dmg is around 2% and 20% respectively. Amulets you always want to look for crit dmg, and either crit or attack speed but I prefer crit since it's cheaper and it can go pretty high as well.

Its wizards, wizards have a broken spec for every day of the week it seems so I dont really keep up on all of them.
doesn't look that effective, siegebreaker doesn't even hit that hard, and the wiz dips pretty low with diamond skin up, with 27k hp 2-3 hits in a row would gib them
still prefer 40k hp,decent resists + hydra spam with life on kill gear lol
The days of struggling past acts 2-3 are pretty much over. Unless there's a build that can pull out the equivalent of a 100k+ dps run easily then there's really no point imo to not just go standard.

And is it the reason every build has Venom Hydra or the spell is just too good?

Venom Hydra is still amazing dps, this bug is just a cherry on top for those who stack life on kill.
Is Venom Hydra really THAT effective compared to all of the other Hydras??
I mean a lot of monsters aren't standing that much still in a pool of acid but quickly moving though it.
And is it know for sure with almost certainty that the acid pools actually do stack dps with multiple casts in the same area? The Blizzard spell doesn't stack so why would this one.

Just test it out, I tried using arcane and mamoth, and the damage difference is enourmous, seriously.
Everyone should have weapon with high life after kill. It's really the best thing to have. I've been using one for like month now. U don't need to stack LAK on any other item, just weapon and you're good to go. It's hard to find decent weapon with high LAK tho.

yeah i got addicted to Life after kill and i just die too much without it. f'ing need the hydra glitch for reflect damage. gg when patch comes out. i sold my 2.8k life on kill weapon with 100 int and 933 dps
Just have a normal weapon and another one with the highest life after kill & dps you can afford which you switch in for healing/reflect damage. Even 1 mil will buy you a very passable weapon these days.

not a lot of people have 1mil lol.
it's annoying because a lot of my friends, and myself are casual gamers because we work full time, and the time we have we're forced to farm act1 every night because we're so poor and under geared lol
