The only downside is its range. It's pretty short (wish they'd change the range to be a full screen length), so I wouldn't use it without a long range signature spell like Piercing Orb or Magic Missile. | ||

Just tested it and it seemed promising but im not a blizzard user at all and dont like the build so not sure. With temporal flux its another aoe slow to go with blizzard and hydra and adds decent dps. Also it fits the theme with ice storms and tornados ![]() You will need to use at least one of the ap reduction runes though. | ||

(Roughly) 480 armor 148 int 79 vit 68 resist all 18% gold find 2 sockets Was similar to my current but +68 resist all. I'm at work, can't remember the stats exactly, but pretty happy with them for a found item. | ||

So what about just mitigating damage in general and going for a basically all tank wizard (since the real items required for damage would cost so god damn much expensive if they are even availible). It would play out just like the original bugged crit/frozen build. There are weapons out there with 2 attacks per second or very close, then add 200+ vit to that and whatever else like dex, damage is totally irrelevant or not that important. Then you add to that build items with crit%, vitality, life on hit, attackspeed, armor and all res, those are the only attributes you care about and since they don't have any other special ability they should be very cheap to aquire I think. In the end you'll end up with around maybe 3.5 attacks/second and around 50% crit chance, you should run, diamond armor, explosive blast, frost nova thing, mirror image, spectral blade or similar and either crit chance arcane or all res. You'll be insanely tanky, have lots of fun, and be probably the best help available for your friends. Anyone interested in trying it out, I'm for sure! xD | ||

my current has pretty low DPS considering i'm at the end of act 3 inferno (759) but it has good stats (255 int, 90 vit, 48% crit hit damage). The only upgrades I see on the auction house that are not insanely priced, have 130-190 int usually, how do I decide if this is an upgrade? if I am gaining 120 "weapon DPS", is it worth losing all of that int? Cause every upgrade that is 860+ dps does not usually have near 255 int, but you have to remember I'm gaining Weapon Dmg which all of my spells go off of. Would you say it's ok to drop some int to gain a ton of Weapon DPS? | ||

So my DPS buffed with currently build is nearly 35k - and yes I realize 30k is low on HP but I am still working on upgrades. My 2hander has no Int / Vit...any suggestions like get a 1h/oh? My rings are 70 Int / 15% AS are those good rings for right now as I gear up? My wrist is 100 Vit / 79+ all resist is this ok for now or am I giving up too much DPS? My legs are 50 Int / 100 Vit double socket with +34 Vit gems My helm is 181 Int / 69 Vit only So thanks for anyone who takes the time to point me to a few affordable upgrades. My DPS seems ok but I just can't kill bosses or hardly clear anything in Inferno but I stomped through the rest of the game. I have really gained a lot from being a fresh lvl 60 and help I gained in responses to my previous post in this thread. So THANK YOU and hope the help continues cause I am just so fustrated that I might have to give up on doing Inferno solo right now :| | ||

You should also get a socket in your helm it's 10-14% extra life which is way better than 69 vit. | ||

If your "DPS seem ok but can't kill bosses", it means you either lack survivability options or have not allocated sufficient resources to defense(this is however unlikely since you appear to be quite fond of vitality and res all). IMHO your current statline of 35k DPS, 30k HP, and 200+? Resist should be more than enough to handle act 1. You haven't posted your build. Refrain from using familiar, glass cannon, and energy weapon just to pimp your DPS. Try out what I used to beat act 1 and 2. It is a quite common build, albeit a bit on the defensive side. This is particularly good for a slow 2hander weapon. Your DPS won't be sexy but you will be in the fight for much much longer. Arcane Orb (reduced cost rune) + Arcane Hydra Teleport(fracture), Diamond skin (crystal), Force armor and weapon illusionist, astral blessing, temporal flux Very straightforward gameplay wise. I beat act 1 with 24k DPS(with buff), 35K health, and around 250 resist. My weapon had 0.9 attack speed. In retrospect, I had put too much emphasis on health. You can probably do much better with 30k health and close to 30k DPS. GEAR SUGGESTIONS IN RELATION TO MY PROPOSED BUILD I feel 12% movement boots should be a priority since your animation will be painfully slow. Your rings will hold up until at least act 3. It will be quite pricey to upgrade. Look for life % shoulders with int. A lot of them are VERY UNDERPRICED. I would place +int gems into the pants instead of vit. My personal benchmark for entering act 2 using the aforementioned build is probably 40k DPS, 35k HP, 300 resist all. glhf | ||

Doing that, I got the following data: 278 | 100.0% | Normal attack 307 | 110.4% | Familiar (Sparkflint) attack 331 | 119.1% | Familiar (Sparkflint) + conflagration 302 | 108.6% | Magic Weapon 314 | 112.9% | Force Weapon rune The first number is the damage I dealt in this specific situation. | ||
